He's an amateur getting his first professional tryout so yes it does count.

Guess it kicks in next year. We have to open a couple of spots in the off season I would assume.

If they have any NCAA free agents they are interested in they need to open up a couple of spots right now.

Good win by the B-Sens last night, by the way. They needed to get back on a winning streak. Still a shot for that top spot. They are 2 back of Syracuse. No games in hand either way. 14 games to go.

By the sounds of things Sdao is legit.

Not sure if we'll be signing any college free agents, even though that's the Murrays' M.O. So many prospects already, and we'll be looking to add a couple free agents in the off-season, so the contract limit is already strained.

Yah, I think the time for adding prospects other than can't miss guys is over. It's the draft and developing a select few guys for a while. Ottawa has everything other than that top line winger in the prospect ranks and I am sure they will be swinging for the fences for one in the next few drafts.

Yeah, I saw that. That might be it then, and that signing was more out of need than anything else.

Sustr or DeKeyser are the only big name NCAA players I've heard of. Sustr might stay on for another year in college but I'd make contract room for this guy if they can.

from what i read Dekeyser looks good but it's not lose your head good out there for college guys.
I mean even when it is good out there some of these guys end up being Bobby Butlers.
I agree with Neely, it's tie to focus on the guys we've got and go for guys that very high potential at the draft and maybe some risk. a couple years from now, i'm sure we'll have to start thinking of depth again but for now we need to make this team as competitive as ever. window of opportunity for the cup is about to start opening.

The Hoff is back after missing, what, 8 weeks? And he scores. Then he takes a penalty and the B-Sens *score* again! Too lazy to check, but I'd bet they are still leading the league on SHG. Sens lead the Albany Devils (on a "Faith and Family" night) 4-2.

B-Sens win 5-2, biscuits for all.

Syracuse trail Hamilton 1-0, late in the third. Shots favor the Crush 38-25

Bulldogs do B-Sens a favor as Tokarski shuts out the Crush with 40 saves. B-Sens are 2 points back with 1 game in hand.

Syracuse play the Devils tomorrow night (the team the B-Sens just beat 5-2). Maybe the B-Sens just made the Devils mad.
