They have had a 3 month look at both Lehner and Bishop with Lehner getting the majority of starts. The organization has made their choice.

Methot is the logical choice on paper. If his skating isn't great to start the year, who knows. We could easily see someone else playing with Karlsson. It sounds like Methot is in pretty good shape, so I hope he'll keep up all right.

Saw him at the gym 2 or 3 times a week. Stupid how big he is... just a straight up jack show.

Hoffman being at camp, IMO is a sign they want to carry him as their 14th forward going into the season which makes sense. He deserves a chance in the NHL and has paid his dues, worked hard, and really done everything the organization has asked.

There is no question they will need extra bodies this year, I would guess 14 forwards and 7 D man for sure. The wild card in all of this is Noesen, will he get that 5 game look that a lot of people believe he is ready for and they ship Hoffman back to Bingo and wait... guess we'll see who out performs who.

On the blueline, short of making a trade they are starting the year with Borowiecki, Weircioch, and Benoit which wouldn't be the worst thing in the world IMO. They are playing and playing well.

Noesen is only in Ottawa because he is suspended and has missed the past month or whatever. It's just for experience.

I think at the end of the day that's exactly what it is but if he does surprise he could find himself on a short tryout. Either way I think Hoffman is that #14 guy they will carry, he deserves it.

There's going to be lots of traffic between Bingo and Ottawa this season, I think. Compressed schedule, fatigue and injuries will be common. I think we'll see close to half of the Bingo roster up here, eventually.

What? Grant was drafted a year earlier, he's been with Bingo 3 seasons (Hoffman only 2).
