Lehner will stay in Bingo since he's on a 2-way.

99.9% of the time the contracts make the decision.

I'd prefer him playing full-time as a #1 down there for a full season.

You wanna be a full-time #1 NHL goalie ? How about being a #1 full-time AHL goalie for a season 1st ?

McLean did say in his interview on the Team 1200 this morning.. that this team is still developing players. They won't hesitate to use some Binghamton players.

He also stated.. IF Anderson isn't ready to go.... the best goalie in camp starts the season. Come on Robin.. it's all up to you.

What if Bishop is the best goaler in camp?

Then Bishop starts. But who has been the best goalie in camp the past 2 training camps? A: Robin Lehner...

He better be good if he's going to help the team to a 48 - 0 record, as I predicted.

Seems reasonable.

I have a hard time believing they're gonna bench Craig Anderson because 2 young goalies have been better in 5 days of practice...

I have a hard time believing we know their evaluation criteria. After all "the best" is a very subjective term when comparing goalies.

Just repeated (more or less) what Paul McLean said this morning. The best goalie in camp will play...

MacLean said IF Anderson isn't ready. A 6 day training camp -- Anderson hasn't played.. and Bishop & Lehner have. That's what Mclean said...

I think Anderson starting opening night is a long shot too. Takes more than a week to get your legs under you. Bishop and Lehner are playing lights out right now too.

That's what they always say.

Lehner isn't playing in the NHL unless there's injuries or a trade.

Well he's not going to get his legs underneath him unless he plays. They'll give him a few games to get it going for sure.

Unless I'm wrong, he shoots left and SUCKS defensively.

Yea, DelZotto shoots left. Pass. Next.

I hear Chara might want to come back to Ottawa. Oh wait, shoots left... Laugh1 Laughing3

Are they going to keep the three of them? (Are they allowed to?)

They can as long as they're under the roster limit.

It's awkward to run practice with 3 goalies, only 2 ends on the ice so one goalie will get the shaft.

Highly doubt they will keep 3 goalies for any significant amount of time when one of them could be logging serious play time in Bingo.

Noesen could make this team I feel. I know it's not the 'right' thing to do for his development, but talk about a guy with size, snarl and offense and you have Noesen.

So Bruce is saying Murray is getting calls about Bishop and Lehner... I honestly think they want Lehner in Ottawa this year because there is no reason for him to be back in the AHL.

How so ?

The entire NHL knows we have a surplus of goalies and we're thin on D. Of course we'll see tire kicking from other teams.

Doesn't mean they want Lehner in the NHL now, just that they could make room for him if it makes sense down the road.

Except maybe his two-way contract. With Anderson and Bishop there's less reason for him to be in the NHL. Lehner's time will come and when all is said and done he'll be the longest-serving #1 goalie the modern-day Senatesnores have had. No big rush right now.
