I want to be excited that this could be over.. but there is still this little voice inside of me that says -- it could still blow up and come to a halt.

They can't do that.. can they? Appear to be so close and they pull the rug out from under us again?

I get that people don't want to spend any money on Sens tickets or merchandise. The players will get paid... this hurts Melnyk more than anyone.

It hurts the players in the future. Most contracts will expire in 2-3 years. Then the big hurt will come.

Based on the timing of the information.. the Owners have been looking at the offer for about a hour..

So, NHLPA tabled an offer, NHL is mulling it over... hopefully there's enough in there to keep things going and get a deal done.

Reports coming in that the NHL presented a counter offer....

Where did you read about the counter offer? TSN guys don't have that.

Owners are back from dinner... CBA talks expected to start up again shortly.

Let's hope it's a long meeting. The TSN panel shot down my hopes with a note that talks have taken on a different feel. Not as warm and fuzzy as before.

That's just their job (the media). We are the ones who have to ignore it, if you choose to.
