Fire Alert

My lawn looks like the Serengeti in the peak of dry season...

I've watered my vegetable/herb gardens a couple times, for about 10-15 minutes each time, and even then I feel guilty. I am perfectly happy to let my grass turn brown…no mowing for me!

The people I want to strangle are the people with the perfectly green lawns who are watering on a daily basis. God damned mother Diddlers.

My street has quite a few of those "perfect lawn" dudes... but this year, even theirs are looking sad and brown... so you know it's been hot when.... there's only one house that has a glorious front lawn and tons of flowers... their water bill must be through the roof.

We have great aquafers near here. My pond is suffering but the one in the near by neighbourhood is standing strong with a very good spring feeding it.

Are you sure with all this dry weather it's not Dow's Mud puddle?

Tell the monkey to conserve his "water". With the CBA talks heating up I'm sure there will be many times that his skills are required.

I think the fire is still burning, saw some reports that more crews are being brought in to the Moodie fire.

It's like a warzone here. Sirens blaring all day long. Water bombers overhead.
