Probably a pretty good idea. I think we're all in love with the thought of bringing in a top flight scorer for Spezza, but I think that'll have to wait until after we've assessed the kids in Bingo.

Yeah, Nash had a chance to come in here and lead this team to glory, year-after-year.

From the sounds of it, San Jose is his #1 choice, where he can blend in and work on his tan and not feel a lot of pressure.

Not exactly from Ottawa but he has ties to the area, maybe Tony Grecco can get him to come here ?

This is one in a series of tweets over the last several days where he's basically been begging Howson to deal Nash. I don't know what Dreger has invested in this situation, but it's a little weird. He's doing that thing where hockey "reporters" get a little too involved.

It's not Dreger, it's other GMs sending messages to Howson thru TSN imo.

You're probably right. It's really Cussing annoying. Who is Dreger to advise a GM on how to run his team? The other day he tweeted about how if Howson didn't deal Nash soon, the situation would not end well. Howson's hands are tied much like Murray's were with Heatley. It's a terrible situation.

Dregger is the Leafs Wing Dang Doodle, that's it. He's a mouth piece.

Dreger is just a mouthpiece, the NHL and other teams just tell him what they want him to say IMO.

And yes this is exactly like Heatley, we got screwed as well although in the end we got lucky that Heatbag massively declined and Michalek stayed healthy and played to his potential.

They'll settle for less although I think Howson might actually have Nash suit up for the Jackets next year. Then again Nash has disappeared from their website and marketing so I think he is as good as gone.

He'll be traded. I can't see how Columbus would bring him back, just like Sens couldn't do with Heatley.
