Haha, yah, he's not close but guess what? Time is running out. There's a weekend to do it and it's this weekend. We'll see though but GM's talk out of their Donkey until the draft is over.

Some teams may want to wait until after July 1st to see if they miss out on Parise...but then after someone lands Parise, in theory the Nash market gets smaller by one team, which could make a big difference.

He probably did. This is sounding like another Heatley situation and I am becoming more and more convinced Ottawa should just avoid this all together. He has 2 teams he will go to and that's it.

I hope San Jose makes that deal just because they wouldn't be anywhere near a playoff spot if they do lol. I would trade Nash for Pavaleski and Clowe let alone with Demers and thr 1st.

Truth be told, I think that package is better than what Ottawa offers.

Thats exactly what I said - if they give all that up for Nash, they actually get worse.

And of course it is better - for Columbus - since SJ would be dumb to do that.

Man, I really don't get some Sens fans though - they don't want to trade anyone, even to improve. They think all our prospects will be PPG players or better.

I don't think that means that all of those names are included in a potential deal, just that potential deals include those names. It may well be closer to what you're suggesting.

SJ is banking off of one great season from Couture in trading Pavelski, a guy who was their best playoff performer a few years ago.

On what level is Nash THAT much better than PAvelski if at all? Pavelski puts up 50-60 points every year, plays against others teams top lines, PKs, and in all honesty he is probably a better all around player than Nash on a WAY better contract.

Seriously, its like I said about Michalek, it's at the very best a little better than lateral.

I agree with you. I wouldn't trade mickalek for Nash. It's not worth paying 3m for 10 more goals a year.

Saying that I'd still want Nash on the Sens. I think it would be good for merchandising, attracting other players, increasing fan base, etc.

^ pretty much. Teams should be looking to add Nash without giving up an already established top 6 player. Unless your top 6 is Foligno.
