Glenn Healy cracks me up... I've heard him say the following over the years... I'm paraphrasing of course...

In the past:

"Look how deep that goalie is in his net. When you see a goalie playing that deep in his net, it's a clear sign they have no confidence in their play. It's not a good sign and they can't stop a beach ball."

But, when it comes to Lundqvist and the Rags...

"Look how deep Lundqvist is in his net, this guy plays so deep and has such great position, he can stop everything he can see and he's so quick because he's so deep in his net."

Kills me.

Lundqvist does play deep and that's his style and he is one of the best out there no question.

My message to Glenn Healy: stop sucking the Rags' Wang and shutup.

Pretty much. It's quite obvious where his "allegiance" lies. Not that I'd want Healy on my side anyway. I admit sometimes he makes me chuckle, but give me anyone else between the benches and I'd be happier. At least we have Galley. And I still love Bob Cole despite the whole Karlsson/Gonchar thing and some other relatively minor issues. His voice just adds to the drama in my opinion.

It fairness to Healy he is probably the biggest Karlsson fan in the media, the guy praises him like no other analyst (other then the homers) and he defends every single thing about his game.

That's true. And on that subject, Karlsson had another good game. It's weird to think that for him and Cowen, it's their first taste of NHL playoffs. Both guys have played their roles pretty much perfectly.

Cowen hasn't got much coverage this playoffs since he's "blending in", in that he's playing the role of a defensive defenseman, and is obviously overshadowed by Karlsson for now, but he should be praised. He had another big hit last night, and continues to be rock solid. I'll be rocking my Cowen heritage jersey on Monday night, AT GAME 6.

You can see Cowen is settling nicely into a Chris Phillips type role... not flashy, but playing a big shut down role... he had some good hits last night, and one huge one. I think Karlsson will continue to get better each game as he figures out new ways to get things done... just need to get Spezza scoring some and more from Michalek... but man, the kids are playing alright and Anderson has stepped up when called upon.

Carkner has also stepped up. Big game last night from him, you can see the guys love him and that's huge. Having Neil, Carkner and Konopka in the lineup at the same time would have had me worried a while back, but now, in the playoffs, they seem to be made for it. Konopka has played a very smart game so far... I've been impressed. Sens have quite a bit of grit across the board when you include Foligno, Greening, Z. Smith, Winchester and Philips...

GO SENS GO!!!

I didn't watch the game, I watched the PENS game. I didn't want to jinx the Sens.

If the Sens win the series, my pledge is to get Chris Neil jersey. To me he's been a rock in this series.

I think there's a lot more offensive upside in Cowen than Phillips. He seems to have a knack for getting his shots through and they're heavy too, so rebounds happen a lot. We'll see, but I think as he continues to mature we might see a great 2 way defender.

Hopefully Alfi is ready to go because if he is that should be a HUGE boost to the Sens.

What a fantastic game from the 2nd period on. Had me biting my nails until the overtime winner. The refs seemed to be against us, very poorly reffed game but we got through it. Love the heart I saw and the resilience and overall will to get the job done. Very pleased to see MacLean talking to Spezza throughout the game and showing him and telling him what he was doing right and what he was doing wrong. The youth on the team had a lot of fire and energy which surely helped us to get back on track. O'Brien was one of the stars for me, he was all over the place and creating a lot of chances with his speed and strength, he was very much on last night. Very happy to see Turris get the winner, he said the other day that he wouldn't miss next time, and he kept his word. Can't wait for the next game, we're even again!! GO SENS GO!!!

Karlsson has easily been the teams best player along with Anderson. That guy is playing physical, moving the puck like no one else in the NHL can, and he's been so good in his own zone and without the puck it makes the offense he creates look minimal. The kid is a star and a top 5 D man in the NHL already. People said he would struggle in the playoffs? Yah, or he might just be even better.

Absolutely, he's been awesome. He's actually getting pucks to the net and he's skating by guys like he has all season long. I was very nervous about him getting covered and hit a lot but they just can't seem to really catch him. (I hope I didn't just jinx it...) He's just too fast and too smart.

Andy has been awesome too, he definitely kept us in it last night and the other night in the 1-0 loss he was spectacular as well. Hopefully he can keep it up!

I said a while back that Carkner would prove his worth come playoff time while he was being run out of town by some of you. For shame.

Not me sir, not me. I thought maybe there had to be a choice between Lee and Carkner and that was made.
