Via Dan Seguin: MacLean says Alfredsson suffered a setback between morning skate and game time last night. Still day to day.

Bah.

I agree that secondary players become heros in the playoffs. that's why we have to start seeing guys like Condra, Neil(well he's tried), BB, Cowen (who has a heck of a shot), Z Smith and O'Brien to try to generate more shots on goal. (and in return score)
Seriously, that will be key if we're to succeed.

Foligno and Turris have been good and getting chances. Turris has really kicked it up a notch and has shown tremendous speed and ability to carry the puck all across the ice. it's amazing to think of what he may become in the next few years. he's due for some goals for sure.

I'd be inclined to try BB in his place on the 2nd line.

DIF lost again, today (but Silf had a goal). There will be a game 6 and with this momentum Skelleftea has going, maybe a game 7, too. Don't count on Silfverberg until round 2.

Two posts in OT. Could have had a sweep. Now they are legitimately worried about losing a 3-0 lead.

The Sens lost because of Lundquist - pure & simple. The coward got a lucky bounce off the boards, off the net, then onto his stick & behind Anderson.

Both Anderson & Lundquist were outstanding last night... it was one lucky bounce -- and that`s usually how it goes in the playoffs.

I was at the game, and it was one of the most exciting games I have seen in a very long time.

I`m very proud of the Sens today -- they gave it everything they had last night.. and lost out to the probable Vezina & Hart Trophy winner. If not for Lundquist the Rangers would not have been the #1 seed nor would they have the lead in this series.

They just have to keep playing the way they did last night... but shoot from anywhere. Stop trying for the perfect shot to beat Lundquist...

Spezza is just trying to hard. He's overthinking instead of making the simple play. He's trying to carry the team.... but he's not getting much room from the Rangers to do that. You have a great shot Jason, just use it more.

Let's go Sens.... do it for Alfie.

Seriously, I think the Sens would know by now that to beat Lundqvist you have to get everything on net, and from gritty areas.

Not that simple when it's just as hard to get shots thru to Lundqvist when the Rangers block everything.

Their defense is insane.

It is simple if you are smart. If you know they are going to block it, get them to bite on the shot, circle the puck, don't just look for one timers from the point (how many times did they do that? Kept passing between the two d-men).

Well said, they certainly worked really hard out there. Would have liked to see a win obviously, but if they play like that, it'll come.

Case in point, Karlsson's goal in Game 2. Just put it on net from anywhere and everywhere...

Teeing it up from the point has not worked, they need to move the puck down low and attack from the sides and hell, even from behind the net... if Lundqvist can see it, he's stopping it. If the D can see it, they'll block it most likely.

They did a pretty good job of getting the puck on net during game 3. They were moving the puck laterally pretty well and getting quick shots off to avoid having the Rags' D block them. We just haven't been converting on the chances we've had, and by that, I mean that Lundqvist has been robbing us. Look at Turris' chance late in the game that Hank got a leg on. O'Brien's chance in game one where he blew around their D.

We can't do much more than we're doing...keep shooting, keep working, the puck will go in. We'll get a lucky bounce or two - we're due.

GAME DAY!!! Huge game for the Sens... a win ties it up and makes for a whole new series. A loss and we're in a deep hole. The boys know what needs to be done... hopefully Alfie can play, if not, the boys will have to rally around him and do it for Alfie!

GO SENS GO!!!
