The Sens struggled down the stretch, going 4-6 in their last ten, including three straight losses to end the season. Their goaltending situation has become enough of a mess that during yesterday’s podcast Rob Pizzo felt the need to guarantee we’d see Ben Bishop between the pipes at some point. While Bishop has the potential to be a quality NHL goaltender, he’s still a little green to be turning to in a tough playoff series.

I have never ever thought the Rangers were anything more then they have been every year for the last 5 or 6 so. It amazes me people look at that team as a first place team, they are middle of the pack and nothing more.
Their defense is good, their offense is o.k, and then there's Lundqvist who might be the best goaltender on the planet. That's why the Rangers are in first place and no other reason other than Crosby was injured. We'll see how he handles the pressure of never having a good playoff and now being the "favorite" going into the playoffs.
Mendes is suggesting it's to get him ready for Bingo. I would not look into that too much.NEELY wrote:Big Ev wrote:Zibanejad skating with Spezza and Michalek in practice
Hmmm... interesting. Not sure if that means anything at all to be honest.

The original plan is for Zibanejad to play in Binghamton on Fri/Sat. Having him skate on top line could be a way to get him ready for that.
Ziba on the top line can't be anything but a "welcome, buddy" gift, no? #Sens
Zibanejad is skating on the top line, with Spezza and Michalek, just to give everybody something to think about. #nhl #sens
