GAME DAY: Toronto Maple Leafs @ Ottawa Senators - 7:00pm ET - Sat. Feb. 4th, 2012

Sens have lost 5 in a row and have cooled off. They are dipping dangerously low in the East and need to keep pace if they want to stay in the playoff hunt. Naturally, to get out of this slump... the mighty power of The Shabbs needed to be harnessed into a GDT. It has been a while... I've been in full retirement mode for a while... but these are indeed dire times. Last night was a must win... we managed to get 1 point in a fairly poor effort... hopefully the Sens wake up for tonight's game and get their heads back in the game. The 2nd half of the season will have lots of teams gunning for the playoffs and the Sens need to keep the points coming. Leafs are sitting in 8th and are desperate to make the playoffs. Let the battle begin.

We should really give Petey a chance for more than 8 minutes in 1 game...

The guys on line #3 have scored something like 35 goals this year. What's the problem there?

I dunno ...

I wonder what Turris could to as a winger on the top line for a few shifts. Foligno - Spezza - Turris anyone? Michalek is on a cold streak. Alfie looks tired. Turis and Foligno are still going strong. Then move Smith up to 2LC and Greening as 3LC (he was a center before).

I would put Konopka up w/Spezza and Michalek. Michalek is not getting to the net as much. Let ZK do the dirty work for him.
