How good would Nash be on this team, right?!?

All speculation though. Why Brassard? He's soft for what the Leafs are trying to do. Although they did sign Connolly.

Yeah, Nash on this team would be something else ... too bad it's not in the cards

They were never really that truculent, most of their truculent players played barely any ice time (Orr, Rosehill, Komisarek, Brown).

Cross that bridge when you come to it. Hopefully you can take back some near NHL talent that can play next year + you'd never be able to trade The Wiz anyway, so that's a bit left for the cap floor. Bottom line for me, you need to start fresh in Columbus and hope your franchise doesn't go bust in the meantime.

So, they have Johansen, Prospal, Letetsu, and Gillies up front. Then they dip into their prospect pool. Ya, they won't have to overpay the field of (basically no) UFAs this July.

They dump the team, they probably end up folding.
