I've been monitoring various electronic media sources and have not yet gleaned anything Bonanza-like as of yet.

Try the non-media sources. They have bonanza related stuff all the time unless you're looking for real things happening then carry on.

That he do! And Jr. Hockey as well. He's so low-rent that they had to dust off Dave Gross to fill in for pre-game shows when Jakubek isn't available.

Don Brennan is on Team 1200 morning lately ... he sounds just like I'd imagined ... Puking2

On the other hand Boo Boo sounds like a eunuch.

I actually find Brennan sounds like the Greco lean and fit dude.

I wonder if we could get Chris Stewart for a reasonable price from St. Louis.

His salary might be an issue for a team with some $$ issues (do they have an owner yet -- I think it's still pending).

Ok, I will bite: Bobby Butler and Nikita Filatov for Stewart. Can be tweaked, but that's a good starting point if I am in charge (for Ottawa).

I doubt that very highly to be honest.

I realize they have some ownership issues, but I'd look at him as a key cog for that team going forward + they traded a buncdle for him and Shattenkirk. I think they might shed some salary in the summer, but Stewart really doesn't make much sense IMO.

That said, he sucks this year, perhaps he doesn't like their system and wants out! Ahhhhh!

Looks like one, too.

Are you referring to the same Nikita Filatov that has been demoted to the B-sens equivalent of his KHL team? I suppose it only makes sense for a good negotiator to start with the player that has the absolute lowest value in the team's system.

Personally, of all those rumored to be available, I like Raymond best. I think he fits our team, his value isn't crazy high, he'd work well with Turris and Alfie, and he's gold in the playoffs.

Yeah, if Mason Raymond is available, he would be a good addition. He can absolutely fly out there.

I mentioned Filatov because, for all St. Louis knows, he might click for them? Maybe he and Tarasenko could be a lethal scoring threat for them? Vertigo

Heck, Bobby Butler's value is also not worth Stewart, but I threw him in there because he would have no spot on the team after.

I'm sure Hitchcock would love to be reunited with Filatov ..... Stewart is a proven player who is having a bad year, would probably cost us Foligno.

I dont know about Raymond, his numbers are way down since his injury in the playoffs. Plus I'm not sure he could put up such numbers outside of Vancouver. Canucks are so good they tend to inflate everyone's numbers a bit, mostly due to their too good PP. Look at Erhoff, he can't hit the same numbers now (although Buffalo sucks right now).

I dunno, Raymond's probably like a Cogliano. At worst, he's a Ryan Shannon. (Don't think Shannon's scored as much as he has though).

Ya although that argument can work both ways...I can't think of anyone in particular at the moment but guys like Raymond may not play to their potential on a great team because they don't get the minutes or, as you said, they may be playing above their true potential because of the talent around them.

Of course, if you look at a guy like Hodgson, lack of minutes doesn't seem to be a very valid excuse at all!

I think Raymond has mostly been a 2nd line player playing with Kesler, I don't think ice time or quality of linemates is an issue. His best year was with Kesler and Samuelsson.

My big concern would be that if he is still any good after that injury. I also think Hodgson is potentially a better player than Raymond.

If the Canucks trade him it's due to salary cap issues or because he's no longer the same player after Boychuk hit him in Game 6.

I thought I heard Filatov was moved down to the junior KHL team because he was injured.
