Honest question, how many coaches has Spezza had in his 8, 9 years in the NHL? Martin, Murray, Paddock, Harstberg, Clouston, MacLean. That's 6 coaches in 8 seasons, that has to be a record for being on one team.

How many coaches has Alfredsson had?

Not sure about your point. Is your point that that has to be a record for a team, or for a particular player?

Speaking of buckling up. Nice to see fans get punished for not buying tickets on the heels of a total $hitfest (Colorado game).

Same amount.

How many changes did they have until Spezza came along?

I don't see how that is relevant.
Spezza has not been seen as the go-to guy until after Heatley left. Heatley leaving threw this team into disarray. Before that we had Redden/Phillips/Alfredsson/Neil and, for a shorter time also Chara. The Redden/Chara thing scuttled the team quite a bit. What happened with Emery/McGrattan/Heatley blew up the room. All of that happened when Spezza was still one of the young guys with the veterans (Redden, Phillips, Alfredsson, Neil and Fisher, to a lesser extent) in charge of the room. Three of those guys are still here but it'ssafe to say this is now Spezza's watch. So far, not a passing grade, but with lots of extenuating circumstances. After all, it wasn't Spezza who drove Heatley out of town, fired three coaches in 3-4 years, let Chara go, let Emery/McGrattan/Redden/Meszaros party like it's 1999, etc. Oh, and let's not forget the Spartan with the ill-fitting helmet. Can't blame that one on #19 either.
I can ask another question -- how many coaching changes have we been during Muckler's reign (and since it takes 3 years or more to develop players you have to add that many years to the start and end of his actual tenure as GM)).

lol it should be 2.5 still....B. Murr was coach for 2 seasons and then after Paddock. Clouston was coach for two full seasons and took over after Hartsburg. 2.5!
