People criticize youngsters way too much. 20 Cussing years old.

Aren't you one of those people.

I thought Filatov's pass was intended for Da Costa but it bounced off his stick to Neil.

He's damn good if he redirected that pass to a player behind him.

Did not see any tip, but I was watching the stream. Official scorer gave assists to Rundblad and Filatov so he didn't see a tip either.

No I criticize big bafoons like Matt Carkner who take the spot of said 20-year olds.

To be fair, a couple of days ago you did say Locke, Daugavins and O'brien all sucked.

I liked Carkner's game. I missed the first period, but I thought he played his role quite well.

Yeah I did, and I stick by that 100%. Corey Locke is 27 years old, and Daugavins and O'Brien don't have much of a future with the Sens.

I'm saying people shouldn't be so quick to criticize a 20 year old potential stud d-man in his first North American pro hockey camp.

For sure he was good tonight.

That's fair. Although if O'brien improves again this year as dramatically as he did last year, he may have a future in our bottom 6.

And no fights. Geez, doesn't the guy know what he's paid (very well) to do?

I'll eat crow for that one...gladly. It was a surprisingly very well played road game b¥ Ottawa, and a terrible defensive game by MTL.

Michalek looks great, just hope he doesn't pull something along the way. I'm so impressed with DaCosta (what a pass to Michalek) and Cowen. Great poise. Gonchar has looked great as well. And finally, we see what Rundblad can bring to the table. His best game so far....still lots to improve upon for him but tell me he's NOT playing better than Kuba....exactly. Borocop brings the pain and Carkner was very effective tonight (save for that one error where him and weircioch were caught pinching in too far on cammalleri's goal)

Overall still, its preseason only. Zibanejad is a beast though, but at 2nd line center I'm preferring Regin and Dacosta....kids are making it tough on sens management. I like it Cheers

Our last three goal scorers (6 goals combined) have been Smith, Neil, and Michalek.

Did Smith get a pair last night? Good on him.

awesomenight. I got there 175$ tickets with unlimited food for 25$ a pop. how can you turn that down. now to the hockey. I thought the first period was a big let down sloppy play from the sens and the habs looked way more in control. then the second was getting better. Holy can Cowen ever skate fast backwards. he was speeding up at the same rate as the opposing attacker speed. was amazing from my vantage point.

Rundblad has some crazy moves where he outplayed a couple of players to bring the puck to the net. I think he's slowly getting there. will be interesting to see him with a few more games in.

Dacosta has the speed alright, needs to work on his finish a bit from what I saw tonight.

Zib I think impressed me more then the rest. I hadn't been wowed yet but is he ever solid on the puck! it's like nothing can shake him off of it sometimes. The bodies keep coming at him and he just lets them bounce left and right as he handles it. I didn't see any flashes of brilliance offensively but he doesn't look like an 18 year old kid out there. Even the habs fans were taking a big notice of his game.
Regin looked good as well I thought agressive on the play.

I think that the best part of the night was that by the 3rd period nobody looked like they didn't belong out in the NHL now(out of the ones I named including Filatov).

very excited for more games. Ahhhhh!

Nice score with those tickets!

The three primary things I keep thinking/wondering

1.Da Costa is really good at keeping the puck in control and making plays

2.Jared Cowen is a hell of a player

3.Why did Columbus give up Filatov for a 3rd round pick?

Isn't 3 fairly obvious?...

It always was to me, but now I question it even more.

maybe there was a total attitude adjustment from filatov. he doesn't seem to be the same guy. maybe they butted heads in columbus and that relationship took a downside..

man cowen is amazing to watch. I don't bieve he guy will only be strictly counted on for his defencive play. the way he positions himself when in the offensive zone you can tell he's ready to let them rip thowards the net.
