What should the team goal song be?

A lot of fans across the league would say "that's a fantastic song to play".

Well I don't find it catchy enough or upbeat enough to be a goal song. Just doesn't fit as a goal song. Play it all you want during the game, sure.

Not saying it's a bad song, but it's just not a goal song IMO. Doesn't have the feel of "we just scored a goal, woo". I'm not sure they would go with a song like that anyway, as a lot of people find songs like that annoying.

and do you actually think the fans would start going "Dooo dooo, dooo doo dooo doo doooooooo"...lol not sure if you were serious there.

The song seems more like an Entrance song to me. A song that would get people buzzing before the game starts. I'd be all for that.

We No Speak Americano is catchy as hell too! Except I don't think that makes a goal song either.

I actually like that idea too but I still think it could be a goal song, play it a few times and it would catch.

I really don't think it would catch on, but there's no point in debating that as everyone has different ears for stuff like that. Just doesn't do it for me as a goal song, especially when compared to ones like the Rangers and Hawks. It would be a poor choice if they ever did implement a permanent goal song. You'd have to pick something that would stick for years...this would die out after a season or two like other songs these days IMO. I just mentioned the Hawks, but I do think that song will get old pretty soon too.

Plus I don't think the Sens would use something like that as it might sound too Euro...they don't want the games to start feeling SEL or KHLish.

That SHM wouldn't work in Ottawa. You want *that* crowd to sing along it would have to be freakin' YMCA. I listened to SHM and kept waiting for the intro to be over, and it never came. There's nothing there to sing along with. You want people to sing along, as much as you may hate Montreal's Ole, that's what it takes. The old Expos sing-along (Happy Wanderer) would work, too.

We could always be boring and use either Bro Hymn or something by U2, I bet half the NHL has some combination of that as their goal song already.

One that we use now (for Karlsson I think) that I really like is Kickstart my Heart by Motley Crue. It just works as a goal song in my mind.

Another one that I've always been interested in trying out is Sweetness by Jimmy Eat World. Basically the first part of the song so people could kinda hum along to it (the oooooooh part).
