Well the early release is out in Europe already and a select few have the full game, so info is being slowly released.

FYI Spezza's overall is 88.

This is not a link to the original post, but someone who compiled the info from several posts made by the HFBoards guy:

Alfie is the lone Sens representative, with an overall of 84. To put things into perspective, Matt Lombardi is an 83.

It appears they're giving away 80s like they were candy.

Operation Sports has released a video of the rosters with player ratings and overalls. Here is the link to their youtube channel:

https://www.youtube.com/MrOperationSports#p/u/3/2WT6VUZSQZg

And here is the Ottawa Senators roster:

J. Spezza 88 C
S. Gonchar 85 C-
D. Alfredsson 84 D
C. Phillips 84 C
M. Michalek 84 C
E. Karlsson 83 B-
N. Foligno 82 B-
C. Neil 82 C
M. Svatos 81 C
M. Carkner 81 C
F. Kuba 81 C
P. Regin 81 C
Z. Konopka 80 C
Z. Smith 80 B- (no new contract)
B. Butler 79 B- (no new contract)
J. Winchester 79 B- (wrong cap hit)
B. Lee 79 B-
R. Shannon 79 C
F. Lessard 77 C
C. Greening 76 C
E. Condra 74 C
A. Benoit 74 C
S. Da Costa 70 C

Really surprised to see Shannon on the team as he has outright signed with another team. Will have to change some of Greening and Condra's stats, as I'm sure they don't have Greening's speed, or Condra's D ability.

When simming your seasons you should always be very aware of your scout upgrades, make sure you max them out when you have enough points and your drafting will be ridiculously better, hence my getting franchise players. I think in my whole time playing, i've completed 2 full careers already which amounts to about 22 years simming or so...maybe more, I can't really remember...anyways, I think in my whole time simming these I've gotten about 10 FRANCHISE players. They're always rated 80+ with potential, and they're just sick players. So much fun, I can't get enough sometimes. Also, I trade my lower picks to get 1st overalls all the time which helps. (That's also a glitch in the game, i can trade my 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th to get the 1st OVERALL)

I went a different route. As quickly as I could, I would max out my Assistant Coach (player development), and then trade for prospects and picks. And as your pool of prospects mature and become amazing because of it, you can trade them for boatloads. I would always trade for Puempel and develop him to play alongside Spezza.

Then again, I'm not a big fan of having people on my team that I've never heard of. So I also usually stop after about 5-6 years. Which is a shame, cause after that much time, my team is just sick!

The last time I went really deep into it, Puempel was awesome. I eventually had no choice but to trade him because he was asking for too much, but he was slick.

I also stop when I can't recognize names anymore, I need to be familiar.

The more i've played, the more I don't mind not knowing the players names, they're just too good to care. I did feel that way at first though, but things changed the more I played.

The reviews are coming in, and they're pretty positive: http://www.metacritic.com/game/xbox-360/nhl-12/critic-reviews

Sounds pretty much exactly like we all expect. I'm just not sure what mode I'm going to get into first…the Be a Pro sounds great, Be a GM is always engrossing, and the EAUHL (with the cards) is also really fun and time-consuming. I might have to take some time off work!
