Ah, the part at the end about Filatov threw me for a loop. He was comparing the two being projects, and I thought he was just saying how RW is already filled with Filatov.

Ha. Understood. No, I listing reasons why I couldn't care less at this point that Bergfors signed elsewhere. The first was that we're stacked on the right wing, the second was that Filly is enough of a project.

I just noticed something that you'll all enjoy. Bergfors was just signed to a 1 year contract for $575k as you all know. Joel Ward was just signed to a 4 year contract for $12M, $3M per year (as you all know as well).

Bergfors has 81 career points in 162 games for a 0.5 PPG.

Ward has 99 career points in 241 games for a 0.41 PPG.

If we extrapolate a full season from each player with those numbers, $575k buys 41 points and $3M buys 34 points.

Someone needs to fire his agent, someone else should buy his a great gift this holiday season.


(And yes, I realize Ward had a good playoffs, but I can't believe that 12 good games represents that kind of a difference.)

It did make that much difference though, people saw that - and Bergenheim and shat themselves. Ward is also one of the nicest guys around apparently, while Bergfors has gone from scoring 20, to being waived, to not even being qualified. There MUST be something to that, he must be a real pain in the arse.

Stacked on RW? How so? Alfredsson and Neil, then Butler (barely a sophomore).

He waived his NMC when he got traded to San Jose, that's the only way the deal could take place. Looks so good on the guy.

Like I said a million times before, I'll take Michalek over Heatley every single time.

San Jose for sure. Havlat is a proven playoff performer, actually plays with some heart, and still has a lot in the tank it seems. Also, injuries haven't been a huge issue lately.

Not sure what Minny is doing to be honest.

I wonder what SJ has up their sleeve right now.

I wonder if he asked for the trade. He has had a diminished role this year.
