Why be sad? You can't have everyone you love in Ottawa, and no team was getting him for nothing. RFA, Captain of the team, and not only that, but first year in a Canadian city... no way he was going anywhere. New team, new ownership, huge fan base, lots of money to spend.

Very few guys I pine for on the team. Ladd was one of them, Landeskog was another, Parise is another. That's pretty much all I can think of. Yes, I'd love to have an All-Star team, but up until recently Ladd and Landeskog were both possible. I thought Ladd would go to arbitration and ask for a 1 year deal actually, but there's that gone.

Can't really think of anyone else realistically...there are a lot of guys I like to watch and would love to have on the team, but few that I feel are possibilities. Not sure if that makes any sense, but Stamkos and Doughty have zero chance of being Senators right now, so I've literally never thought of them in our uniform.

EDIT: Havlat is/was another guy I thought we *might* be able to get our mitts on.

Oops, yeah, I liked him too. Him I wasn't upset when we lost. He's good and would have fit well, but it's not a big deal. But yeah, we could probably go on all day.
