Zibanejad may make the team; he would push Condra out. DaCosta, I don't see making it, nor will any forward rookie for that matter; anyone who does would have to displace Condra first. Rookies like Daugavins, Wick, and O'Brien will see frequent call-ups due to injury and/or other players' poor performance. If Kuba is indeed traded and a forward added, Rundblad makes it and Regin and Foligno both get shuffled down, knocking Condra back to Bingo. Unless Regin has a brutal camp, then he's gone altogether.

I put zero stock in anything BooBoo says, btw. How the hell would he know that line #1 is going to be Michalek-Spezza-Alfie? I'll bet anything that Maclean doesn't even have something like that even close to settled already.

Daugavins? He's improved all right, he had 20 points in 23 games in Bingo's post-season run. Added (more) of an element of grit, is a shootout specialist and a great penalty killer to boot. If he adds some more core muscle, I simply don't see why he can't play a role on the 4th line and be moved up and down the lineup based on injuries. I like him a lot, I think he *might* have a chance in the future.

I look at the team's needs, and the guys ahead of him, and I just don't see it happening this year. He's, like, 14 or 15 on our forward depth chart, at best. No way he's ahead of Condra, for instance.
