Oh man, Toby was great in Spiderman.

Put a whole new meaning to "yanking the goalie".

I wondered about that, too. It's possible.
At this point, anything is possible I guess...

DeBoer may be out of a job in Florida...

Wink
He was highly sought after when he was signed by florida. Would he still be now?
The juniors and the NHL are two different ballgames. I can't say i've followed much of what he's done in Florida but i'm not sure he'd be amongst my first choices.

DeBoer was just fired.

At least a franchise like Florida that doesn't know Dung about the game waited a day before firing him. and don't try to defend murray with the 'he wanted his fate known asap'. He could have waited till today to announce it.

True. Murray's a bit loose-lipped when it comes to the media. I still don't know why he told reporters about his chat with Spezza last year.

Regarding DeBoer, others have mentioned it, and I agree that he (almost certainly) burned his bridge here when he seemed to leverage his offer here into a better offer from Florida. I'd be extremely surprised to see him even get consideration.

Florida doesn't help their coaches when they trade away their best players because they are too cheap to keep them and some players hate playing there.

Why can't you use that as a defense Michallica? If Clouston says to Bryan "Tell me now if I am coming back or not" then tell him! No point waiting for the inevitable I gues..

I'm really really really hoping Ruff moves on from Buffalo.

Seriously? Predict the Sens Next Coach (Version 2.0) - Page 2 489887

Florida played until 10pm last night so there's barely a difference. THis is seriously splitting hairs.

All I know it had better NOT be Dave Cameron as Head Coach.. asst coach maybe.
If Cameron comes in.... it's Hartsburg 2.0. Sens are done by Christmas, Cameron out the door by New Year's.

Kirk Muller, Larry Robinson, or Lindy Ruff (if available)

Cameron, Randy Cunneyworth, Kevin Dineen, Mike Eaves.. good as asst coaches.

If Sens are done by Christmas, nobody is firing anyone and no fan should be screaming. We are expected to perform like a rebuilding team.

^This.
As much as I hope different, there should be no alarm bells or over-reactions if we "perform like a rebuilding team." Considering how the team has looked over the last 20 games or so, there's reason for optimism, but it should be expected that the team has a rough go for the first couple years of a rebuild.

DeBoer is 100% the guy I would choose. Just because he has faile din Florida (like every other coach before him, good and bad) doesn't mean he would fail here.

Yeah WTF why would the coach be fired if this team is done by Christmas? Tom Renney has been lauded for his coaching and Edmonton is Dung.

What's so good about DeBoer? EDIT: That's not a negative question, I just don't know a lot about the guy so I'm curious.

If Ruff actually leaves then he > DeBoer by a ton

Ruff would be my first choice but it's hard to believethat the new owner would let Lindy leave. Deboer may be a good choice but I doubt that Murray and melnyk will forget the past.

If they go with a coach with NHL experience then I expect Hartley(even though he is not my favourite).

If they go with coach with no NHL experience then I expect Kevin Dineen.

Who's that? Can you give some info?
