Apparently the story behind that trade was Muckler thought he was trading for Calder. He was such a bad GM

Don't recall reading those requirements in the original post...spader wrote:shabbs wrote:Smolinski? Are you kidding? Personally, I was a big fan of Smolinski.DirtyDave wrote:Bondra or Smolinski or Schafer
Madness.
Worst Sen? I'd say Kovalev, but that's cuz I hate him.
Commodore, Arnason, Hnidy, Neckar... Zubov...
He doesn't count. Nor does Kaigorodov, Chouinard, etc. People who came to the team and played significant minutes only please.
DirtyDave wrote:I'll add these as well.
Corvo, Daigle or Yashin
Would be interesting to hear peoples least favorite Sen
Ima change the requirements when I want. (My mom said I could. So there )shabbs wrote:Don't recall reading those requirements in the original post...spader wrote:shabbs wrote:Smolinski? Are you kidding? Personally, I was a big fan of Smolinski.DirtyDave wrote:Bondra or Smolinski or Schafer

It's not least favroite Sen, it's worst Sen. Neither of those 3 are anywhere near the top.
NEELY wrote:Daigle wasn't even the biggest draft bust in Sens history. He didn't live up to his draft status but he was really going and looking like a legit 65-80 point per year player until he smashed into that post.
Enough time has passed where I think people can see he wasn't an awful hockey player by any means, a faily good one actually.

Shartslivy or whatever that Russian guy's name was, I think we traded him to the Ducks.
Arneson blew as well, but he wasn't given much of a chance because Murray disliked him from the get-go I think.
DirtyDave wrote:The intro to this thread implies players that can be defined to us as ones we 'hate'. I hate daigle. I don't think you can dispute my opinion. I also hated fisher

Looking at him as only a player, I'd put him as one of the best all time
stempniaksen wrote:If spader truly meant worst Sen ever (in terms of skills and ability) then no one mentioned so far deserves to be here since they all have at least decent skill (whereas some of those early teams had legitimate awful hockey players who shouldn't have been near the NHL). Guys like Graeme Townshend and Darcy Loewen come to mind.
If he meant least favourite Sen player then it opens up a whole lot of possibilities for sure. I really dislike Gleason for requesting a trade before playing for us, I also hate Dany Heatley and have since he arrived in Ottawa (beat everyone to the punch by a few years there, lol) and Tom Barrasso because he was awful for us (but mostly because the organization traded away my 2 favourite players at the time to acquire him, lol.
