Did Ray Emery get his hopes up too quick? Hiller is on the ice this morning taking shots and Ellis is expected to be there in time for tomorrow's game.

Emery is done. He was an average goaltender to begin with.

Haha thats what I was thinking... Might end up being (if Phillips is traded there)... Kovalev + Phillips for a 2nd and 7th? Maybe more ideally.

Does Boston still have room for CP4? What about Vancouver still?

You have to at least give him props for being able to play professionally and get himself a contract after recovering from that kind of condition and the surgery he underwent. Players that retired due to that issue are amazed.

Seems to have turned the page as a person which at the end of the day is more important. That said I've never been a fan of Emery and he caught lightning in a bottle in Ottawa. He's was an average goaltender at best and now he's fighting for his NHL life. Not gonna happen for him for anything longer than perhaps a year, maybe 2 if he's lucky and that hip holds up.

Maybe, but I think we'd have to take some salary back to be honest. Which is okay, as long as it's an expiring contract or if not, a decent, low-salaried roster player.

I'm actually a huge Weiss fan. FLA better get a ton back in this deal, IMO he's one of the only bright spots for Florida. I'm predicting a 1st and a solid prospect in return, maybe a roster player.

And yeah, that's a nice pickup my the Canes. Can't see Stillman costing them too much.
