October-November-December and part of January. That's "a few months" when you consider it against the backdrop of his career.

Was it me or did everyone else feel that McGuire was showing a lot of love for Sens. Talking about Alfie and his love for tennis. Are we about to hear that McGuire is the front leader for the GM job? Murray mentionned last night that he has considered retiring.

If he's back, uneducated fans will be complaining about him for years to come.

Precisely.
These are the same sort of people who wanted Alfie traded 4-5 years ago. Just don't know.

I don't want him gone, but I would not hesitate to trade him to a contender if he was going to re-sign with us next year.
I don't think the people wanting Alfie traded is a good comparison. They're not nearly at the same level in terms of impact to the team. TBH I don't think we have a true captain for the future.

Yeah, I guess that would be "ideal" if they can pull it off, without getting caught. I'm sure that's a "no no" with the NHL.rooneypoo wrote:Michallica wrote:I want phillips back in red and gold next season. I could live with that, but I get the sense that that's harder to bring about than most of us give it credit for.
