Matt Moulson is an interesting name to me, but who knows how he would react in a market like Ottawa. Being one of the only UFA's to reach 30 goals he is also sure to get paid handsomely.

I'm sad we free up all this money during a down year, but it may be best long term.

Moulson intrigues me as well. I'm only familiar with his numbers not his play so much.

I'm thinking he'll want to stay with Tavares who got him the job so to speak. Then again Cheapskate Wang probably won't pay much.

I'd imagine anyone on the Islanders would want to bail out if they have a chance, I can't imagine playing in such an environment.

I don't think you can get the whole article, but here is a snippet.

Obviously he wouldn't trash the organisation and say he wouldn't want to return, so take it with a grain of salt.

Things my happen in a hurry once they decide where they're playing once their lease is up and maybe the purse strings loosen up a little.

Nashville has some nice players that seem to be underachieving right now. Erat and Dumont come to mind.

I'm not thinking as much about the UFA market as I am about teams who'll be close to the cap. Like the Hawks of last year, I'm hoping we can get some solid talent for our top 6 from the Flyers (Briere and/or Leino), the Wild perhaps, Devils, Bruins, Sharks etc. There should be some nice talent that can't be kept - and hopefully we're on it.

It's pretty rare that players trash an organization publically, not a smart thing to do just ask Souray and Commodore.

He may want to stay but if he makes to July 1st and gets significantly more from other teams ...... money talks.

He's 27, he's at that age where it's time to cash in. I'm sure his agent is advising him to keep his options open.

Talk about a team that's Cussed...not a lot of attractive pieces there to trade and a ton of NTC/NMC.

And they are ranked last by Hockey's Future for prospect depth.

Yet so many in the media are trying to draw parralels between OTT and CGY. I even saw a "feature" on TheScore about it on Saturday night.

Give me a break.

I don't envy Feaster's job at all. He's got a lot of problems and not a lot he can do.

For all the complaints about Murray you only have to look at Sutter's tenure and be glad our team wasn't as messed up.

Sens are pretty bad now but we've good a decent amount of potential in Bingo and no long-term anchors on our salary cap.

The only thing the Flames have over us is they've sacked their GM and are committed to a rebuild and review. Mind you they should've done that over a year ago.

There are similarities. We're both teams that made the SCF years ago, lost and have tried to retool the team around the same core with no success. We WILL be Calgary in a few years if we stay the same course.

On the other hand Edmonton has largely shipped out their crap and is slowly cashing on their draft picks. Who knows how they'll turn out.

We're at a crossroads.

Take it for what it is worth but one of the guys on SensChirp said that he went to purchase a black Sens jersey for his beer league and he was told by the Reebok rep that they have been discontinued. I think most thought this was coming so sorry if I bored you.

So they'll bring them back in 5 years as Vintage jerseys? LOL.

Definitely sounds like there's a new one coming for the Sens. We all thought it was coming, but this makes it somewhat a reality. It better be cool.

Those barber pole sweaters are horrendous. Just like the Montreal version: visually nauseating....

Those Mtl ones are hard on the eyes especially after a beer or two. Smile I am hoping that it looks more like the one that is pictured in the article.

I'm on the fence with regards to the "hinted at" new 3rd jersey:

http://www.icethetics.info/blog/2009/8/9/sens-hint-at-new-3rd-jersey.html

It's kind of drab..yet somehow slick. I dunno, I own pretty much all the incarnations of Sens jerseys, so I'd buy a new one regardless. I personally don't mind the current "SENS" 3rd jersey. If only I hadn't got Volchenkov on it....

The ones the B-Sens wore are horrendous.
