What Am I Watching Right now? MAJOR BREAKING BAD SPOILERS IN HERE!

The scene where Rick encounters the girl zombie at Herschel's farm? Brilliant. Every other scene from the entire season at Herchel's farm? Horrible.

The episode earlier this season where the zombies break out inside the prison and Herschel struggles to save people? Brilliant. The bunch of episodes leading up to that? Tedious. The episode where the Governor attacks the prison? Pretty good. A couple of the individual survivor episodes after that? Terrible.

I'm no TV critic, but I know "good" from "bad". The only thing The Walking Dead has going for it is the walking dead. When they bog themselves down into trying to do actual plotting or character development, it's painful. All the scenes with Carol and those two girls this past episode, with Carol trying to get them to understand how they need to "be" now in the zombie apocalypse? OMGHORRABAD. Carol's resolution to the problem at the end of the episode? Pretty damn great, from a dramatic perspective.

Look at the flowers. Just look at the flowers. And the girl who plays Lizzy is not poorly written/acted. We'll be seeing more of here in the years to come.

Everybody on the show is poorly written. But yeah, her acting is actually better than I'm giving her credit for. Much like the Sens, you can't make chicken salad out of chicken Dung. The actors can only do so much with the script.

Anybody watching The Blacklist? Man, it's gotten really dark this season. Love the writing. Red is "comforting" someone who had just lost a significant other in a pretty brutal way (I say "comforting" because it really wasn't):

“There will be nightmares and when you wake up it will be the first thing you think about. Until, one day it will be the second thing.”

Later he delivers a box to the person he was "comforting" -- the box contains the killer's severed head.

Yeah I agree TWD is really not a good show in terms of writing and screenplay. The pace is horrible.

Tyrion Lannister alone is more interesting than the whole cast of TWD.

One of these days I'm going to have to give GoT a try. Are any seasons out on Netflix yet? Also, what's happened to US Netflix? I can't get any of the DNS servers to work. In some cases Netflix comes up and I can search and find the US content, but when I try to play it I get the the 701/801 errors (aip-701, tvp-801). In other cases when I try netflix.com (on my laptop) I get redirected to some other site. Googling around I found out that Netflix has been stepping up measures to prevent "unauthorized" access like this -- the content distributors (who own the regional rights) have been putting pressure on them, apparently.

I don't think it's gonna be on Netflix anytime soon until they pay huge bucks to HBO.

I use unblock-us which I pay for so I believe they are allowed to give me access to US Netflix legally.

Next season of Game of Thrones begins on Sunday. Set your PVRs. I mean, prepare to torrent!

I guess since there are no Canadian networks (that I know of) that have the rights to the show, Netflix was free to bid on them?

Game of Thrones is back in 2 days. I already know what's gonna happen but I'm still extra pumped. I can't even imagine those of you who haven't read the books. Lucky bastards.
