Yeah, Season 3 of Homeland was kinda whacky. The first season was great...downhill since then. After season 3 it's hard to see where the series is going.

Is the spoiler just for if we want to read the book or does it apply to the show too

S2 of House of Cards, on the other hand, is pretty strong.

S2 of The Blacklist, also pretty good (and the same actress has a fairly major role on both).

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is also growing on me. Slowly getting stronger.

Heard True Detective is pretty sweet. Been downloading the episodes... will have to fire it up.

OK, no-one wants to talk about what happened on TWD? Can't blame you. That was tough to watch even though I knew what was coming (spoilthedead.com).

NHL connections on DWTS: Sean Avery and Valeri Bure's wife (Candace Cameron, from Full House) are in the latest batch. But what blew me away was Amy Purdy -- a double amputee (below the knees) and bronze medalist from the recent paralympics (snowboard). How did she do what she did?

The Walking Dead is a pretty bad show. If it didn't have zombies, it would've been cancelled after Season 1. The acting, dialogue, and plot lines are really poor. The most recent episode was enjoyable because

Listen, I still find it entertaining. I still watch it every week. But don't try and tell me that the dialogue is good, or the acting is well-done, or the structure is smart. It has had great moments, but they are few and far between much more tedious, lame moments.

The scene where Rick encounters the girl zombie at Herschel's farm? Brilliant. Every other scene from the entire season at Herchel's farm? Horrible.

The episode earlier this season where the zombies break out inside the prison and Herschel struggles to save people? Brilliant. The bunch of episodes leading up to that? Tedious. The episode where the Governor attacks the prison? Pretty good. A couple of the individual survivor episodes after that? Terrible.

I'm no TV critic, but I know "good" from "bad". The only thing The Walking Dead has going for it is the walking dead. When they bog themselves down into trying to do actual plotting or character development, it's painful. All the scenes with Carol and those two girls this past episode, with Carol trying to get them to understand how they need to "be" now in the zombie apocalypse? OMGHORRABAD. Carol's resolution to the problem at the end of the episode? Pretty damn great, from a dramatic perspective.

Spoiler:

Look at the flowers. Just look at the flowers. And the girl who plays Lizzy is not poorly written/acted. We'll be seeing more of here in the years to come.
