Most important goal in SEns history: Against the Sabres
1000th game against the Sabres
1000th point against the Sabres

I think he should give them some of his salary GAME DAY: Ottawa Senators @ Buffalo Sabres - 7:30pm ET - Fri. Oct. 22nd, 2010 - Page 11 270956

I'd like to see Lehner start tomorrow...and that's nothing against Elliottt, I'd just like to see him play the tail end of the B2B to give Elliott a break.

Elliott was pretty good. Shaky at times, gave up a lot of rebounds, but was solid in the third.

3 stars for me were Alfie, Karlsson, and Connolly.

You see the difference when you have a David Hale who can play 16 min instead of a Lee who can barely touch 10.
I'm pretty sure it's the first time this season Philips and GOnchar didn't play 25+

That's a good point. I hope Hale can continue to eat up some minutes effectively.

I'm pretty sure both gonch and Phillips logged a ton in hay final period. Gonchar was definitely at 25 mins.

On another note, there wasn't much of lee tonight yet again. I'm starting to buy the thought of him being dealt in the very near future

1st NHL goal ever, against the Sabres.

Shannon only played just about 5 minutes too. I didn't get to watch the game, any reasons why Clouston went with the short bench for most of the night?

Elliott really dug deep and found a way to win. No wonder I want to puke every time the Name Dropper says he's not an NHL #1.

Short coach -- short bench.

What can you say about Alfie -- Simply the best!

No Spezza -- no problem. Is that a problem?

Buffalo is going to struggle all year, aren't they.

It's Saturday -- where's the S-GDT?

Everytime the sens pulled ahead, the sabres would tie it up on a flukey goal or garbage goal (elliott's fault) so my guess would be that he just wanted to keep the foot on the pedal and ride the top 9 forwards. Also Winchester got hurt (shaken up from a blindside kaleta hit), but I can't remember if he played again after that or not. Anyways, Lee was not very good as a forward either. Shannon's goal was scored on a great effort by Winchester with Foligno.

EDIT: just remembered the first buffalo goal came with the 4th line on the ice, not that it was really their fault

Really? That was Kaleta again? Let's see if anything happens.

Nothing should happen. Winchester should know better than to stretch himself out while cruising through the neutral zone unaware of his opponents around him.

And with the win the Sens are no-longer in last place. That distinction belongs to the Edmonton Oilers. Really? It seems only yesterday they were undefeated at 2-0; now they've lost three straight and
