(It's Sabre rattlin' time)

Ottawa (31-21-4, 2nd in the North East and 5th in the Conference - GMH Rank of 2) visit Buffalo (32-15-7, 1st in the North East and 3rd in the Conference - GMH Rank of 19) Wednesday evening– Buffalo will be coming into this one pissed off after giving up a 2 goal lead and losing 5-4 to the Pittsburgh Penguins and Crosby's hat trick. Despite the stellar record and incredible play of Miller, Ottawa has had the Sabres number for some time now and with the Sens 9 game win streak on the line this one should be another fun one to watch. Elliott will get the start with Leclaire backing up. With Foligno sidelined for 6-8 weeks, Winchester draws back in on the 4th line. Regin gets pushed to the wing on the second line so the Sens get a bit of a different look going into this one. The 3 day layoff should do A-train some good but may give the Sabres a bit of an advantage as Ottawa may come out sluggish and a bit rusty.

I think we can catch Buffalo. Winning head to head is SOOOOOOO important. These 4-point games make me nervous.

I don't like the long layoff, I don't like that Buffalo just lost to Pittsburgh and I don't like that the Senators might think they have Buffalo's "number" so it's basically in the bag.

Other than that, I like our chances. GAME DAY: Ottawa Senators @ Buffalo Sabres - 7:00pm ET - Wed. Feb. 3. 2010 235689 GAME DAY: Ottawa Senators @ Buffalo Sabres - 7:00pm ET - Wed. Feb. 3. 2010 805406

I would also add that this win streak worries me because they might be getting a little too cocky.

Was hoping to go to the game, but left it too late and the only tickets were $114 ea.

This game should be fun to watch but the Vancouver game will be ridiculous.

Clutch, thanks for getting this one out. I was about to PM you asking if you could do the honors since I wouldn't have much time until tonight.

Quick comment re: editing. I keep seeing extraneous (and sometimes extra) URL and COLOR tags around links. Most browsers will pick up the "http://" part and automatically display that as a link (i.e. clickable, blue). So it's not necessary to enclose it in URL tags and add a blue color. I think what is happening is that you edit with tags not displayed (click the icon with the little A above a bigger A -- the last icon/button above the edit window). So when you edit a post a second time, the URL and color tags are added. And if you edit it a third time, the link is wrapped in a second set of URL and color tags.

Does that make sense? Personally, I find it best to edit with tags explicitly displayed and then use Preview to see if it looks like I think it looks.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try that next time.

Added a couple more audio links -- Clouston speaks following morning practice, and Leeder and Ottawa Tourism CEO talk about hosting the 2012 All Star game.

Is that "news"? I didn't know the Sens were planning on bidding for the All Star game.

I thought they were told they'd be getting an upcoming All Star game because they've hosted a shortened draft with Crosby and a full draft and still no All Star game.

Oh, and let's hope the Sens players don't play any word association mind games with the title of that show Smile
