Brodeur gave up 5 and was chased after 2; Devils lost 7-2. I wonder how many of the goals were scored *after* Volchenkov got knocked out of the game with a broken nose? Broduer's *never* given up 9 goals in back-to-back appearances.

Spezza should have just sat this game out. what was the point? He had a vintage giveaway within the first 2 mins. Phillips is struggling, and my god what happened to you Karlsson? seriously what the hell is going on here? I'm astonished...

Everything that could go wrong is going wrong. Let's pray that it ends soon and it brings them together.

Leafs are leading the Division, Conference and League (best goal differential among the teams with 4 points). And a week ago Boogard scored a goal. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

You're right. I thought i had seen a 3rd secondary assist, but you're right, they must have removed it.

funny thing, I thought people thought that last night after the shellacking at the hands of the sabres. The score was just too generous. I actaully wouldn't be surprised if the owner and bryan murray pay the players a visit after the game. They're all there anyways....it really was humiliating to see that type of play.

Damn, Kovalchuk fought Mike Green.

Phillips and Karlsson are both playing with a new partner (and both struggling). Spezza got blindsided by McArthur (who, frankly, could have gotten a tripping penalty on the play). If he had tried to come out in front and lost the puck, or saw McArthur coming and still continued to try to do it solo instead of dumping it in the corner or reversing it, then I'd be very upset with him. He was trying to skate past one Leafs forchecker, had his head down (puck in his skates a bit) and didn't see the guy coming. It happens. This was not the result of a reckless, selfish or lackadaisical play. Now, that hooking penalty -- I didn't see it, but it sounds like the result of a lazy play.

Fleury sucks. The Pens are so lucky they won a Cup with him.

I stopped watching after the 5th goal. I said, if they count this, I am done.

So this is all up to that point. Leclaire, is it really worth mentioning how well he has played these first 3 games? Yes it is. I have been and continue to be on the Leclaire bandwagon. When everyone in that game knows he is standing on his head, it is shard to argue or fault him.

Spezza, I will give the benefit of the doubt to that he should not have been playing as he is clearly not even close to 100%.

Karlsson, as I saw someone mention after last night's game, looks to have lost his step.

Not much else to say except that I feel bad for Leclaire. Goalies playing that well don't deserve to have a team that plays like that in front of them.

Yup, he sucks *rolls eyes*. I'd take him over any of our goalies.

He was one of the big reasons they won that Cup. He came up with timely saves when they needed it the most.
