GDT: Senators vs Leafs - 7:00 -

I stopped watching after the 5th goal. I said, if they count this, I am done.

So this is all up to that point. Leclaire, is it really worth mentioning how well he has played these first 3 games? Yes it is. I have been and continue to be on the Leclaire bandwagon. When everyone in that game knows he is standing on his head, it is shard to argue or fault him.

Spezza, I will give the benefit of the doubt to that he should not have been playing as he is clearly not even close to 100%.

Karlsson, as I saw someone mention after last night's game, looks to have lost his step.

Not much else to say except that I feel bad for Leclaire. Goalies playing that well don't deserve to have a team that plays like that in front of them.

Yup, he sucks *rolls eyes*. I'd take him over any of our goalies.

He was one of the big reasons they won that Cup. He came up with timely saves when they needed it the most.

No that's not me lol...and I agree with you, but I would actually rather have Guerin over Kovalev since hge would cost less but bring in way more energy. Obviously not gonna happen though.

Haha wow. I've seen like 7 games already this season and the Sens are the most unprepared of all them. I mean, Transition is non existent, forechecking were useless and the power play...meh.

The good news is, usually those kinds of things, I mean when the whole team look out of sync, get better every game, with more practice and more chemistry (our D pairings are all new).
Bad news is, they don't have much time to figure out.

if it's about the 'gelling' this team needs, then its on the coaching, because that's what freakin' 8 preseason games were supposed to be for. Most of our core guys onl¥ got 3-4 games in, and even then wasn't enough clearly.

That's what it is, its just so freakin' out of s¥nc. how many great offensive chances have we noted? very few. our defence....it looks unbelievably slow. I don't know how else to describe it. so sloppy, no passes connecting, and I see non-existant physicality in hits or physical plays from our guys. It was sooo frustrating to watch. Pascal stood on his head, but he also made a boneheaded play on the 5th goal, though it can be argued whether such a play would have been made had it not already been 4-0, and my guess is no, so I think we can let that slide.

A thought I had was about Eric Gryba. He seems to be a healthy scratch becuase of the 'numbers game' in bingo. Why not bring him up right about now? Instill some physicality and perhaps get some more defensive minded play because our backend has just been awful. I know its just 2 games, and its the first two of the season, so its not panic. However, I think it's a fool proof thing to do considering since he's not getting any playtime right now in bingo, so he might as well get some experience up here while we are 'thin' on the blue line. Might get tricky, I don't know what the rules are since its a 23-man limit.

Finally, yeah Michalek has looked slow out of the gate. I noticed he was actually speedier in pre-season. I wouldn't be surprised if he's playing injured since he was taken out for some precautionary reasons in preseason (as prags alluded to before). We need speed, and we need it pronto along with cohesion, discipline, physicality, and more shots on net please! for Cuss's sake...

It's like they all took the summer off, didn't do any conditioning at all... so unprepared and out of synch. Hopefully Clouston can get the in line soon...

I'll only comment on two things, so I'm only quoting part of your post.

1. Management wanted to evaluate a ton of players (they had 50+ in camp, I think). I wouldn't out it all on the coach.

2. What's with your Ys sometimes?
