Huh, I find that surprising after he busted his arse at Merrimack. I would imagine he's learned his lesson if that's the case though.

Got a nice little signing bonus and NHL money... he's 22. That's more natural than turning it up a notch.

Yah, not a big deal, that's what the minors are for... getting guys on the right track and the fact his coach is the first one there in the mornings working out is also a push.

Da Costa will be an NHLer... good 2nd liner, at worst 3rd liner who can work the PP with his vision and skills. Needs time though.

Never hurts to have a guy who can play 3rd line to perfection and slip into the second line role seamlessly should the need arise.

The SIlf has figured it out and is actually the most consistent player down there.

DaCosta is a far cry from Fisher -- lots more creativity, but he doesn't have Fisher's size or ability to hit. Of course Fisher never had DaCosta's creativity. In the end, it comes down to money. Fisher would have been a good 3rd line center or 2nd line winger. At $4.2M/year, though, I would prefer a center who can make a play to his wingers once in a while.

Imagine what would have happened if Fisher was still here when Turris came in? Put Fisher on Spezza's wing in place of Greening and how many points to you think he gets? Good thing we traded him when we did or he'd be asking for $6M after scoring 35 riding shotgun with the SpezDisenser. Facepalm

And our top prospect, it seems:

What happened to Lehner?

Sad, but somewhat true.

No Markstrom or Lehner on that list, but the younger Subban is on there. I think a four-year-old drew names out of a hat to make up that list.
