Big Ev wrote:Honestly, I think there might be TOO much talent. They have to roll lines pretty equally, it seems, so your top players aren't really playing as much as they should. I think this wouldn't be all that beneficial in a full locked out season, but luckily it doesn't look like it will get to that.

Yep, was gonna say the same thing. Grant will be the breakout player of the season IMO - only if the lockout ends though, otherwise his top 6 role is a third line role with less PP time and scoring chances - and most importantly, less ice time.

Was Rochester supposed to be going anywhere? I recognized a few names, but not really that many. Foligno. I see Hodgson on their roster, but don't recall his name being called.

Hodgson and Adam are supposed to be good but I guess they haven't woken up yet. Corey Tropp is good too but had a season ending injury last game. TJ Brennan isnt too shabby on defense.

We should be paying close watch to 3 of these guys actually.

Pat Cannone - 43 points in his first pro season in Bingo, immediately making himself noticeable this year. Not huge, but a heart and soul guy with some offence.

David Dziurzynski - 6'3", 205 - great grinder with a little bit of untapped skill - perhaps another Zack Smith

Derek Grant - had a pretty poor year offensively, but this is my pick as the most improved player in Bingo this year.

He's having a great start.

I'm not wasting too much time worrying about bottom 6 players lol. I think we'll do just fine in that department.
I really like Pageau. If this guy can survive the toughness of the NHL I think he is a 1st liner

The way they've stocked the cupboards, I think the Sens are doing well in all departments. They could still use a couple D prospects, but the future is in great shape.

Brayden McNabb is really good offensively (d-man). Mark Pysyk is a solid prospect as well.

Silfverberg's having a bit of a tough time out there. So little time and space compared to the SEL. He's shooting, though. Him and Zib have about 8 shots each so far.

Really liked the game of most of the forwards. Especially Zib, Hoffman, DD and Stone. Da Costa was decent as well.

Can't have too many big, strong guys with a little skill sprinkled in.

I like Pageau as well. Gives it his all every shift and is really talented.

I heard his name a couple of times. Who's Porter? He seemed to be buzzing around the net a lot.

When Porter scored they flashed his face all over the screen. He looked 40. I checked and I think he's 26, but has had NHL games the last five years. Former Hobey Baker winner. He was named Captain, so I don't think they (Buffalo) have plans for him except as depth; I think he's an AHL lifer who may get some callups now and then, mostly then.

Hello Ben Bishop!

Lawson's not gonna be happy at all with this - and I don't blame him, even though it's our right to do it.

He can blame the NHLPA. Tough break but they are the ones to blame.

Trying to cram some midterm studying in for tomorrow morning, but from what I have caught, Z, Stone, Silf, Pageau, Cowen, Wier all looking good. Dany Sabourin has been good in net but not too many tough scoring chances.
