Who are the 4 studs not counting Karlsson? Cowen, Wiercioch, Rundblad, and who?

O'Brien to me will be a replacement for Chris Kelly...similar type of player, IMO.

Lehner I assume.

EDIT: Nope, misread it. I think he counts Gryba in there.

Lehner was great too, can't fault him for either goal, he made some excellent saves and he had to keep sharp when he didn't face shots for long stretches.

Kadri better not turn out to be another Tucker or Corson. Well, at least those two backed it up. I know Gryba is much bigger and so that's why Liambis stepped in but, man, if you stick your nose in where it doesn't belong you'd better be ready to back it up if it comes to that.

Cowen, Wiercioch, Rundblad, and Gryba.

Gryba is easily going to be in our top 4 in the next 3 or 4 years...he's that good. I'd say after watching, and the conversation we had tonight with people after the game that the expectation is that Gryba may make the jump..may. Wiercioch and Cowen are long shots now at best.

Anything can happen, it may be that playing in a tournament like this with players who don't play position as well as NHLers do can change how Partick and Jared play, but right now it looks like unless they blow people away in Ottawa in the next couple of weeks, Jared will go back to Jr. and be a key piece of Team Canada in Buffalo, and Wiercioch will play in Bingo.

Gryba, though...I said it a while ago and was scoffed at. Gryba is easily this organizations best Defense prospect right now. Overall ability easily Wiercioch, Rundblad, and Cowen beat him out, but he's farther ahead right now and he skates better and moves the puck better than most everyone gives him credit for.

Mark my words...Gryba is much like a Brooks Orpik but better offensive upside.

Really got to go..getting the evil eye from the cabin crew...

He went on for a couple of minutes trying to figure out who scored -- was it deflected or not; finally saw that it was deflected in by the Leafs defender, so for sure it was so-and-so's goal. Then he starts saying how now both teams have had an "own goal". All this time I'm sitting there waiting for the freaking score! When he finally said that the Sens had just gone up in the game (I had left the radio when it was still 2-1 Leafs) I just couldn't believe that he took *THAT LONG* to announce that the lead had once again changed hands.

The announcers on Roger's 22 were pretty bad, too. The colour commentary guy kept talking about Robin "Lerner" and when Hoffman scored his second IIRC the play-by-play thought it was Wiercioch and the colour guy thought it was someone else, too.

Hoffman and Butler carried this team, at least as far as the forwards go. Kudos to them.

We've got to find a centre.

We already got one, unfortunately our awesome LW depth will probably force him to play there this year...

He's starting to look like the most intriguing of prospects. A big dude whose showing a ton of character, sticks up for his teammates, plays a solid, shot-blocking, physical D, skates real well and has some offensive instincts.

I think we voted him our 5th best prospect IIRC. We need guys like this, they're the future heart and soul.

He got moved to LW early on in his career. He's a pure sniper now.

It's kinda hard to follow the game when you have no idea who most of the players are lol. I can sympathize with the announcers!

So we can make them play on the wing, right?
