POLL: NHL's Worst Contract - Number 1

I voted Redden. I'd say most of those guys at least had a good season prior to signing those deals. Redden played awful and still got rewarded for it.

Jason Blake - 40 goals

Brian Campbell - high demand for OFD, excellent mobile puck mover

Cristoball Huet - #1 in MTL played pretty well "Huet Dit Non"

Shawn Horcoff - NHL all-star

Rostislav Olesz - young with potential

Scott Gomez - stanley cup championships, played on NJD dynasty

Brian Rolston - stanley cup championships

Chris Drury - cup ring, played on a stacked Sabres team

Rick DiPietro - young, played well before injuries ruined his career

Jeff Finger - not a horrible shutdown player

I think Khabibulin should be in that list too. He's long term, AND at an age of 35+. Also, he gets arrested

A lot of stinkers in that list. I voted for Horcoff, big money, big term, low production. Not enough reasons?

He can't even be sent to the minors until 2013-14 because of a NMC.

I had to give my vote to Huet...it's friggin' tough though, if I could've voted more than once I would definitely be giving a vote to Redden and Finger.

How about we do a poll about the worst GM moves made this season so far too. (trade-wise, contract-wise) let's trade our next 2 1st round picks 2nd overall and probably 8th overall next year for Phil Kessell!!!

I still think this is fair. Remember, it's the Devils pick and the Hawks farmed Byfuglien until he finally broke through in the playoffs. And he can play both D and F - well.

That's the price to pay when one team farms a guy until he's 100% NHL ready, a 1st rounder.
