It will be interesting to see what happens with Ottawa in the next 3 months, IMO there will be a lot of changes but who knows.

I see one or two UFA D signings and the same guys on forward but with more competition with the kids and stuff.
I seriously doubt Murray won't mess with that line up. Despite losing in the 1st round, the team chemistry and general feeling from players is very good.

I think there will be a serious case of statud quo this summer.

Other than the Volchenkov thing I think we'll be going into next year with a similar roster.

Again, we'll see, there are way too many players signed and holes for there not to be a decent amount of movement.

Well I thought you were talking about top 6F top 4D big shake up...
Sure, for 4th liners, It might even be a whole new line.

Top 4 D I could see only 2 being back for sure. Phillips and Karlsson, Kuba could be gone if the right deal came along or they went in another direction.

well that and the cap going up is significant money on the table. we all know we will be spending up to the cap.

to all the people unsure about campbell... well, i understand. but realy, ottawa hasn't performed since the blueline started falling appart. i love what murray is doing with the drafting but if we could get ourselves that #1 D-man we have been waiting for this team would probably win the division next year. the Kid isn't ready yet to take that job and i think this line-up could easely do the job and it fits the projected cap.
Campbell -phillips
Karlsson - sutton

Kuba will be back I bet.

I would absolutly hate to see any of Carkner, Campoli, Lee, Wiercioch or Gryba in a top-four role. And having Kuba is a way of making sure that doesn't happen.

I agree to a point but he was showing some serious stride of improvement the last 1/2. All the others I agree.

Ya, if it had to be anyone of those guys I agree that it should be Campoli.

Phillips - Campoli
Karlsson - Kuba
Carkner - UFA#1

That doesn't look too bad if all we can pickup is a depth guy. Heck, Phillips could even turn Campoli into a solid top-four guy. Just look what hes done with the likes of Lee and A-Train.

Butler is going to be the last cut along with Wick if he doesnt make the team. Wick will get every chance to make it because he wont be playing in The AHL.

I hope both don't make it. Room in this lineup will be scarce.

Regin - Spezza - xxxxxxxx
Cullen - Fisher - Alfredsson
Michalek - xxxxxxxx - Kovalev
Ruutu - Kelly - Neil

ex: Butler, Wick, Winchester, Smith, Shannon, Cheechoo, Foligno

2 spots for 7 guys? You can probably take Cheechoo out of the running, but every other guy there has a real shot. I would probably go with Foligno, Winchester, Shannon/Smith and let the other guys get a year of seasoning.

I would like to see Wick become a friggin super star, haha, but we'll see what he brings. He could be a total bust and I wouldnt be shocked.

I hope both do because they would have done something really special or look fantastic at some point to get one of those spots. Them making the team would only be positive.
