It's a catch-22 IMO. IF Foligno could play on the left wing with Fisher and Kovalev, then he'd be a lock for 20 IMO. We wouldn't re-sign Cullen for the points, we sign him for his versatility at forward, PP, PK and playoffs, but the collateral damage would be Foligno getting 3rd line time.

If there's an injury Foligno might get his chance, otherwise, I agree, on line 3, it's hard to see him potting 20.

Centering line 3? I dunno, that's why Foligno can't go there, the two LW spots are taken by Michalek and Regin - and the two RW spots are taken by Kovalev and Alfredsson.

Imagine the depth of being able to roll out a third line of Cullen, Foligno and Winchester/Smith? Fun.

I think Cullen, Volchenkov and Sutton are out and Z.Michalek is in. The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced that as much as we need Cullen's experience, it's hard to fit him in the lineup. Volchenkov and Sutton - what can we do?

So we go after another responsible player in Michalek.

It's pretty easy to fit Cullen in if you deal Foligno at the draft

Rutuu Kelly Neil is the third line.. this is one thing that won't change.. unless one of them gets traded.

Ladd would be expensive as an RFA. Otherwise, yeah, that's doable. I doubt Chicago trades him or Sharp, but you never know.

I'd still rather their 1st rounder or Sharpie though.

to win the cup, you have to have guys like alfie, neil, cullen, ladd, rutuu.

Agreed, I probably need the cap to go up a bit (which looks like it could happen)

do you think Ladd will cost more than Sharp 3.9 next year? If so it would never work. I had Ladd signing for 2-2.5.
