Well I dont think it will take 4 mil if he wants to stay, but it will take 3.3 min on a 3 year contract min.

I like Cullen as much as the next guy and think that he could really be that 2nd line center that we need (nothing against Fish, but he's way too inconsistent, so put him on the wing).

All that being said this team is right up there against the cap, and I think even more important than keeping Cullen around is fixing the defence (whether that be re-signing A-Train or going the UFA route).

I'm not sure I'd want to put even more money into our forward core than is alredy there.

I never realized how important face offs were until we got Cullen.. .

Ya, again, the defense next year is going to see 3 rookies on ECL's with Karlsson plus perhaps Lee, Campoli, and Carkner all making 1 mil or less. Only guys you have making a decent salary are Phillips and Kuba.

In all honesty, the defense is going to be young but what they went through this year will only help them. Karlsson will hit 40 points for sure, Phillips will bring along Gryba or Lee (pleeease Gryba), and the bottom pairing was solid all season for the most part.

Not a ton invested and a guy like Cullen helps the team in every aspect. You may very well have a couple guys up front on the move as well, so we'll see but I think you have to keep Cullen for a lot of reasons.

Not likely.

My view remains the same. Only guys who need to win please. We should sign Donovan to a long term contract

I completely agree

Don't disagree with you. I know Fishy doesn't like playing the wing, but if he's such a team player he should play wherever Clouston wants him to. Now only to convince Clouston he wants Fish on the wing...

Maybe he's not the team player everyone claims he is then?
