Prager, I didn't mean that Ottawa should have been playing to survive, I just meant Pittsburgh was coming on so they've got to weather the storm-and they didn't. I don't think they had a scoring chance all period.

We'll just have to win it in O.T., Sens.

They stopped playing their game and decided that a 2 goal lead was enough. Clouston should have called a time-out a few minutes into the 3rd and told them to just play the game they played in the first ten minutes.

I can't remember the last time I've said out loud several times that the 4th line needs a shift. Seriously.

It's the wrong attitude. It should have been the Sens storming the Pens and seeing if Fleury could weather it. I haven't watched the third yet, but from the sounds of it, they hanged back trying to protect the lead. They should have been the ones initiating. The Pens are tired, too. It wasn't just Ottawa who's playing their third game in as many nights.

They got out shot 18-4. I was already in full panic mode during the 2nd period, after the game plan changed to hang-on-for-dear-life mode. They need to come out looking to win this game. It's season over if they don't win, so go out guns blazing.

Agreed. They should have stuck to the game they played in the first period. They just let the Pens just dictate the play completely. Seriously, I'd be surprised if the time of possesion is less than 5 to 1 in Pittsburgh's favour. A total 360 of the game the team played to start the game.

I second that. That was just about the hardest 20 minutes to watch this team play in awhile.

Need some heroics from Regin. Spezza's been winding up a few times with no one in front, waiting. Foligno is slow tonight, but I was hoping Regin would be able to keep up. Maybe he's been saving it for OT. Or maybe Spezza should just try to step around the D and go in himself. When your line mates aren't there and you are the $7M dollar man, step it up.

To hell with that. Put out the 4th line until they drop. They've dominated with the ice time they had tonight.

Well they put up a fight and no one can really be mad. BUT if anyone see's Spezza, tell him game 6 was tonight, he missed a good one. Why do we pay him 7 mil again?

Alfie cam to play tonight. Spezza, well, not so much.

After the 3rd, that was inevitable. That sucks.

Good season for them, most of them never quit and there are a ton of positives to take from this season. Next year this team will be better and IMO will be the best team in The NE by a large margin.

A few things have to happen and number 1 is resigning Cullen, number 2, seeing WTF they are going to do with Spezza. He was awful for 5 of the 6 games in this series. Is this series out season ANY DIFFERENT without him? I dont see how it would be.

Alfi is twice the player of Spezza using 1/2 a body, thus he is 4 times the player Spezza is. How can you watch Alfi do what he did tonight and then play like everyone around you owes you something.

I'm not sure what you're saying here, but I agree. He and Murray need to have a sit-down.

Sorry, is the series against The Pens or their regular season in general any different without Spezza. Not really, no.

I think you have to keep the Ruutu-Kelly-Neil line intact, and the Zack Attack surely has earned himself a spot next season.
