Ummm what? Seriously do you ever say anything where people dont say to them selves "is he serious or is he actually that dense?"

i got a knot in my throat upon reading "what if carkner had given up making the nhl"... if they cared two cents about canadian teams they could almost make a real one out of this one.

i think the ultimate moment when i lost all respect and belief in the refing and it's higher ups was with the fisher call. come on, on the video the ref is looking straight at fisher when he gets pushed into orpik. how can you not call that for what it is! Frustrated2

this league has become a joke.. it's the shidney crosby show (cue the dancing turd)

It was seriously amazing. If the Sens beat the Pens, then it sure should!!! No one would do that though because the majority of people don't care about the Sens, the majority of people want sens to fail. Obviously!

Yeah the calls have been horrendous, as another note, but great teams are bigger than crappy calls.

I sat in disbelief when I watched Fisher get can-opened in front of the ref and nothing, and then moments later Foligno was mugged by Orpik behind the net, (hit from behind, high sticked to the face and held) and it turned out to be off setting minors because Foligno couldn't get up.

I'll say it again and I maintain that with a US T.V. contract up for grabs the NHL may not be fixing games, but there is no way they want anything but Washington/Pitts in the Conf finals.

It is frustrating and calls have obviously been one sided.

But think about this.... What if Sens won this series!!!??? How much more amazing would that be, making it past crappy calls and all that??? Ok so I don't believe we will be winning this series, but what if!

It ain't over till the fat lady or bettman sings!

I would also be intrigued by such a scenario. PLAYOFF GAME DAY: Game 5: Ottawa Senators (1) @ Pittsburgh Penguins (3) - 7:00pm ET - Thu. Apr. 22nd, 2010 - Page 45 484884

So you're saying Fisher didn't hit Orpik right in the face right before Fleury pushed him? Dick

I thought it was Fisher's visor that got him. In fact, I expected a headbutting call on the play. Good catch by you, though! PLAYOFF GAME DAY: Game 5: Ottawa Senators (1) @ Pittsburgh Penguins (3) - 7:00pm ET - Thu. Apr. 22nd, 2010 - Page 45 85287

He had a tiny nick on the bridge of his nose from where the visor *OBVIOUSLY* got him.

It was then and there that Orpik went down. If there was a high stick involved it would have been before (and he didn't go down, did he); most likely they both had their sticks up.

If you guess the score to tomorrow's game correctly, you will win tickets to an exhibition game next season. Check it out! PLAYOFF GAME DAY: Game 5: Ottawa Senators (1) @ Pittsburgh Penguins (3) - 7:00pm ET - Thu. Apr. 22nd, 2010 - Page 45 735732
