May be it's time to put some western hockey video in the dressing room. Gotta add some desperation out there.

a healthy michalek for 82 games next year plus a healthy everyone could put us in the top 4 teams. it was a bad year for injuries if you ask me, i'm surprised we did as well as we did counting those. i also think we have to give leclaire another shot next year. with the level of tallent he has, i think he could take us far in the playoffs giving him time before hand to get hot.
Top 3, because we win the North East. And yes, you can quote me on that.

There are a couple of teams in our division getting better. A certain 2nd overall pick and a healthy Savard, healthier Lucic plus the emergence of Rask just might make the Bruins a little better. Montreal may improve, as well, if they trade Price for some size up front and go with Halak the full year. Toronto is another team poised for a rebound.
Point is, the NE was a mess this year, and a mediocre team riding a hot goalie won the Division. Points will be a little harder to come by next year, and I expect it to be a lot closer between the top 3 teams there. Anyone losing gimme games to the Islanders and Thrashers (and others) will probably be kicking themselves at the end of the season.

As much as the Northeast was a mess, 4 out of 5 teams made the playoffs. That's not too shabby.
-I don't think the Leafs will contend next year but they're definitely going to be better.
-Montreal won't improve. They'll have more or less the same team going forward. Gomez contract is going to be their achille's heal.
-Miller is Miller. Buffalo's fate rests on his shoulders.
-Boston. Scary. Hall or Seguin and Rask. The Bruins sure are making some Leaf fans cry. Where's Raycroft now anyway? Where's Pogge? Boston gets Rask, Seguin/Hall, and another first for Raycroft and Kessell. Yikes!
-Atlanta, NYI, and Tampa will all be significantly better next year.
Sens could be in tough for sure

Stat pack: Six times the Senators have lost Game 3 in a series, and all three times they went on to lose the series.
Um... something doesn't add up there.Cap'n Clutch wrote:Good morning all. Just thought I'd drop in with my "Ray of Sunshine" report:
