Oh, my. I didn't realize the score. I've been out all day, just got back. The last couple of posts talk about 2-1, then OT. I still think the Caps will take thm, but this is probably going 7.

The Capitals have some serious problems. If they make it to the second round, and after tonight's game that if is bigger than ever, they are going to get Crapped on. Which doesn't really surprise me, I already said a few times on the forums that their style of hockey wasn't the kind that wins playoff series and Stanley Cups.

Ovechkin is starting to wake up. 6 shots, 4 points in 2 games is average, but he did that in just the second game. Backstrom has arrived. Big question is who starts. Do you go back with Theodore or stick with Varlamov? Bigger question, who the heck do you score a hat trick, add an assist, and end up even on the night? There was only 1 PP goal all night, so that means Kostitsyn was on for 3 goals against.

Caps will now win 3 straight.

Are you being facetious or you really think that? The Habs have a bit of cockiness in their step now. Kostitsyn probably thinks his **** doesn't stink, but that even rating with a 4-point performance should be troubling someone.

Halak has been keeping them in, but they still got 6 goals past him on a very pedestrian (for them) 37 shots on goal (regulation plus OT). Will Halak have to be superhuman to win three more? Does he have it in him? Is Backstrom his Kryptonite?

Caps will win both games in Bell Centre IMO. They did it to the Rangers last year. Don't think they've played their best and not sure how much left does MTL have.

Caps are not winning both game sin the Bell Centre, I can guarantee that. If Washington's best defenseman is a 20 year old rookie, they are in deep trouble.

one of our best D-man is a 19 year old rookie, i agree people dont understand that the crowd has something to do with the game, talk to the leafs. When i went to the montreal game a boston fan would start cheering and then the whole building would drown them out, also they have some sort of tradition of booing every captain, i saw that chara got limited ice time and looked pissed the whole game, because it was every time he touched the puck,

By the way, Duthie has a gut-wrenching story on Taylor Pyatt up on the TSN.ca site. If you recall, Pyatt's fiance was killed in a car accident a year ago, 4 months before their wedding date. Pyatt is now playing with Phoenix.

When was the last time every series was knotted up 1-1 after the first two games? With the exception of Chicago-Nashville, every series was 1-1 after the first two games. Chicago will try to keep that "streak" alive tonight, starting at 8:30 PM EST.
