Horrible officiating.

That would have been a highlight if it wasn't "stone hands".

Still, that was one hell of a great dipsy-doodle. Would have been sooooo nice if he didn't shoot wide. There was certainly room there.

Terry Matthews getting introduced to Cuba Gooding Junior. That's funny.

Sens better start skating. And stop trying to set Alfie up.

Myers is being schooled tonight. Alfie undressed him in the first, Cullen did it just now and there were a couple other times. Eventually it'll cost him.

You went to school with Cuba Gooding Jr?!?

What the hell happened to that guy? From Oscar winner to B-movie fluffer. A sad, sad fall.

Funny story. My nephew used to be good friends with Trevor. I was living in Montreal (my wife had already moved up to Ottawa) and coming in for an interview at Newbridge. Drove down at lunchtime, quickly changed into my interview suit at my sister-in-laws' and did the interview. It went horribly. I had zero experience in telecom and said so in my covering letter, which the interviewer (a bit of a prick, actually) never read. Anyhow, long story short, I came back to my sister-in-law's house, quite dejected, and my nephew wants to introduce me "THis is my friend Trevor; Trevor, my unlce just had an interview at your dad's company". So Trevor (I think he must have been 15 at the time) starts asking me all sorts of questions -- which group was it with, who interviewed me, etc. All I wanted to do was drive back to Montreal and not speak to anybody.

Didn't get the job that time but still ended up spending 13 years at Newbridge/Alcatel.

Did you ever re-meet your interviewer while at Newbridge? Give him a coffee, and then tell him that you didn't do anything to it. Start the mind games.

Should have gotten Trevor to fire your interviewer. Nice enough guy, kind of spoiled though. But i guess it would be really hard not to be when your father is Terry Matthews and you are given everything you want. Only at school with him for a couple of years though. Grade 8 and grade 9 I believe.

Ma, he was in Microsystems (that became Tundra) and I worked across the street at the main R&D.

I also still remember my first interview out of University. It was Matrox and what a nice place at the time. I had a very good interview (I thought) then a call from the chief HR lady. She was sick that day and never got to actually meet me, but over the phone she tells me no. I was still finishing off my Master's Thesis -- just had the paper that needed to be finished. She said that in her experience people who start work before finishing never finish, and that was that. I still remember her name, and a few years back I was checking their website and she was still there. I almost e-mail her, to expand her experience.

Michalek has not yet played in the 3rd.

Thank heavens someone other than Vanek scored. I hate the refs tonight. The one time when it really doesn't matter for either team, why not do something special for a special player -- like call the game even.

Well, not that you could blame him (to be fair, I only saw the first 3, listened to the rest), but this cements Clouston's choice for the playoffs. Elliott is da man.

Was he hurt or just taking it easy on his knee?
