I might be misleading myself, but I feel that we'll still be crazy competitive.
I still say the two Florida games were the kinds that you rest your vets. Games can be meaningful in different ways. Those games were not meaningful w.r.t. standings. It didn't matter if we won or lost, and we'd had 79 "practice" games against NHL teams.
Not only did we clinch, but there was (virtually) no way we could move up, move down, or affect who our first round opponent would be. If your only argument is "practice", then that is a weak argument.
