I do caution, however, against putting up banners that are that wide. I've got my screen settings at 1440x900, the browser is full-screen, and the banner doesn't fit. I think the forum setting is still at 96% of the screen, so I could squeeze out another 50-56 pixels by turning that up to 100%. I would recommend not going above 1000 or perhaps 1024.

I changed it to 100% and I can now see the penguin head (most of it) and all of the text (the last 'p' is "cheap" and all of .com -- I still don't see the closing quote after "cheap" though).

However, can we make all future banners 1000 wide (or even 1024)? Right now it's covering about 2/3 of the top of my forum page. I like the height being small (180 or lower -- current one is 144).

And in case any of you haven't seen the other thread, Kovalev has a torn ACL and a bone bruise. He'll have surgery and the rehab time is 4 months. So much for that. Two years ago we lost Alfie and Fisher in game 81.

Do you suppose the recent news on the KovalevGate front inspired some of these last-minute decisions?

Clouston must be kicking himself for playing some of his vets this past week, and for allowing that TB game to become something of a brawl.

Vanek and Rivet should be back in the lineup for the Sabres. And there is an outside chance that Kaleta will be back,a s well.

if some of the vets are sitting out what is the line up going to look like? plus do we have any idea which vets are going to sit out?

Hindsight is 20/20. We should have been doing this since the moment we locked up 5th spot.

Maybe we should have rested Kovalev or others but really the way he was playing I kind of believe he needed to play...

Maybe he was injured so maybe he did need a rest before the playoffs or maybe he needed to be a healthy scratch but history has shown that it dosnt work with him... I believe they should have played him every shift possible to wake his lazy Donkey... Ohhh well i guess we will never know if he would have been a diference maker for us in the playoffs.
