Someone I met and am writing about.
Cool. You're a writer?
Yep, a journalist.
Nice. I'd like to hear more sometime.

Foligno's a catch-22. He's obviously going to get better and his cap hit is sooooo nice right now. BUT, he could also be part of a trade that could bring back a REALLY nice player.
So hard. With Butler signed on now and a crunch of spots already taking shape, what do you do? You have to keep in mind that Kovalev and Alfredsson are going to be gone in two years. Foligno might be a 30-goal guy by then.
Really? We had Vermette for many years, as well as Fisher, but neither one of them has developed into a 30-goal scorer. Foligno would have to have top-line minutes (and top-line passing talent) to get 30. But is he really a top-line player on a top team?
He's only 22 years old. He will be a 30-goal guy within the next couple of years. He had 17 goals last year with absolutely no PP time. Sure he took a step back this year, but that's a natural progression for a winger of his style.
If you watch him play, his ability to handle the puck in the corners, in traffic and at high speed all indicate he has the hands to be a top notch goal scorer.
He'll progress. He's just as much a work in progress as Brian Elliott is. Both have the potential to be top players on this team in two or three years time.

Never underestimate the power of keeping it simple.wprager wrote:SensGirl11 wrote:wprager wrote:Oh, and about the clinching thing, take a look at the second poll option.
Ok, and how does that happen? Is it with an Atlanta loss or something like that? Or is it an OTL?
Sorry, not trying to be coy or purposefully difficult. The polls have usually gone in the order Sens by 2 or more, Sens in regulation, Sens in OT/SO, other team in OT/SO, other team in regulation.
I simply reduced the number, but the order was similar: Sens win (2 points), Sens lose but get a loser point (the clinching part), Sens lose and no points.
In retrospect, I was trying to be too clever. There is only one thing worse than being clever, and that's not being clever (with apologies, as usual, to John Cleese and the gang for butchering it up a little).
I doubt Leclaire gets a start at home from here on in. If Leclaire gets a start, I bet it will be in one of the away games vs the Isles, Panthers or Lightning.RobbyJ wrote:Is Leclaire getting a start tonight. Might be a good time to give Elliott a rest.

That was a horrendous game by the Habs. They are very close to missing the post season.Dash wrote:Yup, Canes won last night, 2-1 in Montreal. Carey Price got boo'ed.

Very odd decision, IMO. I thought for sure he was locked-in for the rest of the season. Do we have too many bodies? That might be it. How many are you allowed to carry?
Butler I'm assuming, will take his place for the moment.
Your allowed to have as many players as you want at this point I think. As long as it fits under the cap. I could be wrong on when the roster limit is lifted though.

If I was Price I don't sign in Montreal. I would make my position clear, I want to be traded in the summer. This Montreal place is ridiculous - 1000 times worse than it is here - and it's bad here, I don't want to play there.
