Forgive my crude language, but NBC can suck it.
You probably meant NBC may suck it.

The Rangers and the Thrashers are the two teams that affect when the Sens clinch due to games remaining and how far back they are in points. A single point by the Sens will put our point total out of reach by both of them, thus clinching a spot. It does not matter what they do as long as we get a point as they won't be able to catch us at all.SensGirl11 wrote:Can you tell I'm chomping at the bit to get this thing locked? I just wanted to know the scenarios. I realize we need only one point, I just wanted to know if there was any other way if we ended up losing tonight, which would not be a good thing either way.
The Thrashes need to get 2 points tonight to remain a factor on our clinching of a spot. If we don't get any points tonight, and they get 2 points, then they remain a factor. If they only get 1 point, they are no longer a factor and the Rangers are the only team that become a factor, provided we don't get any points tonight.
Perfect, thanks Shabbs. That's what I was looking for.
No, the Thrashers could lose in OT or SO.
For the record, I was being facetious when I asked. I've been looking at our magic number since it was 5.

On that note, can 1 actually be the magic number since I heard or read somewhere that 1 is, in fact, the loneliest number?

Hee-hee. I actually introduced the girls (aged 7) to that song just last night. Gotta get the classics in them early. When I went on YouTube thought I could not even find the original. The closest was Three Dog Night (closest in terms of release date as well as sound).
