Has anyone actually seen Wiercioch or Gryba play? What are they like?

“We may have one or two other guys by the end of the week,” Murray
said of his signing binge.

Who wrote that? THat's so wrong. RIT eliminated Denver, then New Hampshire.

The Sun I think.

Wiercioch plays like Tyler Myers. Tall, skinny, great skating, good shot and nice vision

Gryba, never seen but some dudes are saying he`s kinda like Sutton.

A few of us saw Wiercioch at the Development Camp. I don't know if anyone here has actually seen him play with the Pioneers, but judging from some comments I'd read on their fan sites he's a very popular player there.

At the DC I was really impressed with his offensive skills. He really needs to fill out, but he's got a good frame to start. The way our D started out, this season, I really don't think he would have looked out of place. Next year? Most likely in Bingo with a few games on a call-up basis. Our D will be much stronger to start next year than they were this year.

Wiercioch at the DC blew us away. He was doing stick handling drills in front of Mel and I and it was ridiculous. He's silly good with the puck, big, big dude, but skinny as heck. He's fast as the wind too.

Tyler Myers is a real good comparison.

Gryba will likely make his debut Friday at home vs. Wilkes'-Barre or Saturday vs. Norfolk, and Lehner might as well.

I already started looking for AHL (Bingo) broadcasts online or otherwise. No luck for me. Anyone else?

From a DU fan:

weirioch (sp?)
was the poo, that guy looked he was playing at another level than the
rest of both teams. big fella, but with small guys quick feet and hands.
he scored an end to end rush in front of me, the rush itself had me at
hello. the finish was bad angle and a goalie mistake, but he had to have
hands just to get it on net. he made a bunch of rushes like that, and
in the zone moved his feet really well and keep the offensive pressure
on. DU dominated the game i remember well, so its tough to say about his
own end. all i know is i went having forgotten about him, recognized
his name after i asked myself for the second time "who the hell is THAT
guy" and looked for the name on his jersey.

if these guys were both canes prospects, i would say weircioch needs to
be signed NOW, and leave colborne in ncaa for the rest of his years. i
could wrong about colborne, but he did not leave a good impression on me
or my bud. my bud is from mass and didnt know a thing about him, was
pumped to see a b's 1st rounder up close, started out happy - was
screaming at him before we were done. weirioch was one of the better d
prospects id seen up close ever, but just like colborne it was a small
sample.

You could always, if you can do this, hook your computer up to your TV and get a bunch of people over for a $1 or $2.
Lehner signing announced today...

http://senators.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=523432
Lehner was signed to a 3 year entry contract.

Gryba was signed to a 2 year entry contract.

Both are going to Binghampton on an amateur tryout.

I guess the 3 year contract for Lehner and 2 year for Gryba recognize that Lehner is a higher quality(better) prospect and hence the greater committment.

Why is it called an amateur tryout? I assume that they are paid for their time Binghampton.

Can anyone shed any light on the subtleties of the contract?
