What a waste of a great game from The Sens for the most part. This one was goaltending. Leclaire, well, 11 goals against his last 2 games... Elliott or bust the rest of the way.

A save at a big moment would have been nice though and it seems as though Leclaire is definitely a guy that can't give you that. Elliott is the man now that Leclaire blew it for what I think is his last opportunity this year. Just a sickening game but on the bright side they did do a lot of positive things in this game. Just one or 2 big saves and they would have won that game I think.

I'd say he had at least 2, probably 3 opportunities to make a great save. I *really* don't like harping on a goalie for a loss, but between him and Karlsson that was brutal. Karlsson is a 19-year-old rookie making one third the salary (plus he was playing with a new partner for the first time).

They're not on the same page, are they.

I think Leclaire is an unmovable asset. He is owed 4.8 million bucks next year, which no one will take. I still think there is upside to him, and I also think both he and Elliott will be better this year. It just hasn't been his year. He was playing very well before breaking his jaw.
To be honest, the playoffs this season are a bit of a bonus. It will be a good experience for Elliott, Karlsson, Campoli, Sutton, Carkner, etc. going forward. Most here thought they were a 6-10 team and would be touch and go to make the playoffs.
I wouldn't bring up Brodeur as it does more long-term harm than good. Like all Sens fans though, the thought has crossed my mind more than once. But don't forget that Elliott was an NHL star of the week 2 weeks in a row not that long ago.

I hate to say it but even the Leafs show a fight to win every game.
Is it Alfie, Clouston, Spezza, management, I don't know.
