Awful. I mean, they were decent goals but he has to make a save at some point to give his team a chance. He didnt do the job, plain and simple. Leclaire is going to have to take the ball here.

the only positive is they actually scored more than 1 goal tonight

The Sens can still turn this around, there is actually enough time left to get things on track. They have 11 more games, if they can get a win in the next two and get going a bit, they will be fine. If they cant and stumble into the playoffs again, hopefully they hit Buffalo or NJ because Pitts and Washington will murder them.

are we really that surprised? this is pretty much the same sens we've had for the last 3 years. they get on a roll then they get very paniky...
missed this one personally. glad i did, on the other side of things Alice In Wonderland 3D on Imax was pretty good.

Spezza, Kovalev, Fisher, and especially Alfi are going to have to figure something out here because they have been pretty bad since coming back. The 4th line providing the scoring tonight with another from Phillips... thats not a good thing at all.

Cullen literally looked about 100 times better then any of the top guys. Time for CLouston to start calling some guys out.

Just keeps getting worse.....fire another assistant coach! Preferrably the one responsible for our "my Dung would look better than this" powerplay.

maybe we should send Kovalev home too from this road trip....

Are Regin and Shannon still playing? Seriously they need to call up Zach Smith. A shot of youth will only help since our lazy Donkey veterans are...well....lazy asses.

I know I'm being unreasonable, but Diddle I'M PISSED!

Well, I guess it wasn't me after all. I tried watching the third but gave up half way through. Brutal. All that momentum after Phillips scored, gone.

Well, the only positive I can take from this one is that the last time we played Atlanta we got spanked 6-1, and that was when we hit bottom and went on to an 11 game winning streak. How many games are left after tonight? You think it's a coincidence?

BRING BACK CHEECHOO! BRING BACK CHEECHOO!

Is Cheechoo really the answer to our chemistry and offensive woes right now?

Am I alone in thinking, its time to bring Brodeur back-up?

I added Elliott to my fantasy team the other day, and then he loses to the Leafs and Thrashers...maybe I jinxed him

Brodure isnt going to turn this around. They caught lightning in a bottle along with Brodure. It's sink or swim with the goaltenders they have right now and it actually doesnt matter who is in net. No goaltender in The NHL would have more then a win or two if they played in Ottawa since the break.

Talking about the goaltending no matter how good or bad it was is pointless. Until Alfi, Spezza, Kovalev, Fisher, Michalek, and Foligno start to put the puck in the net, this is a pointless conversation.

Adding any goalie that plays in Ottawa to your team is stupid at this point.

Again, until Ottawa's best players are their best players there is no point in talking about the goaltending. Its like talking about which tires to put on a car when it doesnt have a friggin engine.

Like last time they called Brodeur up, it simply couldn't hurt at this point. The team always loses confidence when a goalie struggles, or the bounces don't go their way.

Having confidence in your goalie goes a long way....the team doesn't have confidence in themselves or their goalie, so might aswell try to infuse new life in.

Brodure wont be the guy come playoff time and fact of the matter is LEclaire has been solid despite not having won a game and getting lit up against Vancouver. That game should have been over after the first. They are going to have to give Leclaire a shot because his fault or not, Elliott isnt getting it done. Brodure isnt the goaltender Elliott nor Leclaire is. It would do more harm then good.

It falls on the leadership in Ottawa and that's Alfi, Fisher, Phillips, and to a lesser extent A Train, Kovalev, and Spezza. These guys need to lead now and get it on track at the right time. Starts with the PP.

My biggest complaint is that Clouston seems to have an serous hard-on for Elliott which shows a clear lack of respect for Leclaire. You want to question confidence, well it's hard to have any when your team doesn't have any in you. Leclaire gets hung out to dry much like Elliott, or Elliott just has a bad game, and yet Elliott seems to rarely if ever get pulled, yet Leclaire gets yanked almost immediately. So inconsistent, the coaching is. CC says he pulls Leclaire to wake the team u - well pull Elliott then.

Looking elsewhere, the defence has just been awful. Last game Sutton misses a huge check (if he's not missing them he's getting Dung calls on them), Phillips turns the puck over; or they let the offence waltz right in.

And the offence cannot be excused. The guys that are paid to score are not scoring. Spezza's been playing well, so I will let him off - cause of those guys I refer to, he's been the best.

Just hard to be a Sens fan at this point. I'd rather be in the Leafs position (with the pick). At least there'd be something to look forward to instead of watching the playoffs slip away. I do think they will somehow still make it and get swept in the first round. Hope Melnyk will be happy with that.
